Isaac Traudt would be some solid bench depth for us 
Adding Ven Lubin and Dedan Thomas Jr to the portal wishlist. Lubin is still solid in his limited minutes/chose wrong school for development and might still have two years left with the new rule.
Dedan Thomas is someone I think we would have no shot with in the old regime, but maybe the new coach plus more openness to NIL might help (but if itās Shaka I doubt)

Iād love to have DJ Hand. Earl Grant is a good coach, doubt heās on the hot seat yetā¦itās like VT though, theyāre not funding it, almost impossible job until that changes. Maybe money could lure him in the portal, I donāt know. Pretty sure papa loves the basketball situation though, DJ gets to rock out.

I brought it up because I remembered reading this the other day.
What would be your over/under for new head coaches in the ACC next season? Hint: The answer is at least 2.5. ā Tom W.
Iāll use your 2.5 as the line, Tom, and easily take the over. Both Virginia and Miami currently have interim coaches, and it appears unlikely that either Ron Sanchez or Bill Courtney earns the full-time gig. So weāre already at two, without counting other jobs that may open. As for other potential openings, I would count Virginia Tech, Boston College, Florida State and Syracuse as the four most likely; Iād be genuinely shocked if at least two of those didnāt become available.
Meanwhile, Boston College is the lowest-ranked high-major team in KenPomās database and has lost its past three games by a combined 47 points. Earl Grant simply couldnāt replace what he lost in the transfer portal this spring, leaving him little to show four seasons into a rebuild.

Syracuse replacing Autry the year before Carmeloās kid gets on campus would be very interesting. Highly doubt Kiyan would re-open his recruitment if that were to happen, though.

Adding Thomas Haugh from Florida to the list (some growing possibility of a coaching change in Florida even if the invesitgation a dud). We gave him a look/teammates with Ryan Dunn in HS
Ill also add Donald Hand Jr to appease the masses. I also realize my list is power 5 heavy/still have trauma over mid Major additions even though Jhamir Brickus who is at Villanova now would have been our best bet at salvaging this season.
Ill also throw in Blue Cain who could use a change of scenery most likely and could be a possible sleeper if like we get Byington and he adds Sean McAloon (the IMG coach) to his staff.

Oh yeah thatās right. Weird. Was he hurt? Iām trying to think of anyone whoās done that for non-injury reasons and drawing a blank.

35 targets thank you very much. these kids are going to be in the portal anyways (rumors/coaches on hotseat/lack of playing time/shitty current situations/close to UVA regionally)
The real question is will UVA let Byington bring Tyler Nickel with him? 3 schools in 3 years. Maybe if the 5th year rule passes he can argue he has two years left to get enough credits?

The fact that one of the top candidates on our wishlist has two former Hokies on his roster does make me a tiny bit conflicted.
Nickel is double worse because heās UNC and VT.
