You’re not wrong. I thought the 3 two years ago was spot on.

Coastal, W&M, Washington State and Stanford all at home have to be must wins. That’s 4 right away.

Then we play no one else with an O/U higher than 8.5. We have to be able to win at least 2/8 of those games. Especially Wake at home.
@NC State - 6.5
FSU - 7.5
@Louisville - 8.5
@UNC - 7.5
@Cal - 6.5
Wake - 5.5
@Duke - 6.5
VT after a bye - 6.5

Damn, just found out that Danny Wilmer passed away. The best recruiter in UVa football history. RIP, coach.

Mel Kiper Jr has Jonas Sanker as one of his 12 ā€œRisersā€ post-combine.

We can debate whether the combine is over rated or not (it is) and whether Kiper knows ball or not (probably not, but he gets eyeballs), but it’s definitely good for Sanker’s draft stock that Kiper is bullish on him.

Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia

Height: 6-0 | Weight: 206

I’ve liked Sanker’s game for a long time. He had great career numbers, with 233 tackles over the past two seasons. He didn’t have many picks (two), but he did have four forced fumbles and 17 pass breakups, so I’m not overly concerned. I think Sanker could get more attention now after solid broad (10 feet, 8 inches) and vertical (36½ inches) jumps. Plus, 4.48 is a good time for him in the 40-yard dash. I could see him ending up being the third or fourth safety in this class.

Would be great to be the 3rd or 4th safety when the top 2 are clear 1st rounders. Malachi Starks of Georgia and human freak Nick Emmanwori of South Carolina.

Random question for anyone that has attended the UVA spring game in the past… is the band there?

I’m planning to come and bring my 4 year old along for her first sporting event. Will have a much easier time keeping her engaged if there’s music lol

No but it’s usually extremely family/kid geared. They have balloons and face painters, inflatables to play, some football ā€œchallengesā€ like trying to kick a field goal… stuff like that. Usually an equipment sale before it starts if you like that type of thing. But be early if you’re picky that line adds up fast.

They should put out info on all that stuff in the next couple weeks. I’ll try to remember to post here.

Tony Elliott: not mentioned if anyone is curious. But a couple guys I think we could have hired (and might have a chance at next year if we make a move) are!

Dabo and Freeman seem a little low imo.
