I was going to say that I could see Tony leaning and really enjoying helping or being the team chaplain. I hope that regardless of which direction the head coach search goes, we find a way to keep TB engaged and around the program.

[Tony walks into the office for his 5-minute annual visit…]
No, no, no, no, Blue, White. We done? Cool.
UVA is raising money for the Center for Citizen Leaders and Sports Ethics as a thank you to Tony from the fans.
Involvement here, if not leading it, is where I’d see him fitting best in his coaching retirement.

And that’s different from his actual coaching, how…….?
Someone add to the HC possibilities wiki: Tony Bennett
As long as he sticks around Cville, we should ask him every time there’s an opening, including this offseason.
Tony Bennett hasn’t said no to either UCLA or UVa
It’s still crazy to me to think that we had a coach who we all openly laughed at UCLA thinking they could get. What a time.
Carla’s not doing her job if she’s not at least probing Tony about regrets. In fact I think that’s what the orange uniforms are about. “Look at it, Tony. Look what happens when you’re not here.”
This actually made me LOL.
Yeah I was super psyched to get that email.
“Hey I know the only hope you ever had of winning in a revenue sport just abandoned you literally days before the season but maybe we can all cope together by you giving us money.”
Yeah, no.
We should all pour one out for the poor development person at UVA who had spent months lining everything up and planning the roll-out of that campaign. Only to have CTB, who’s like the poster child for it, quit immediately before the campaign starts.

Rohde -13 (173:42) +37 (106:18)
Seems that Sharma needs to be adding 5-10 mins/game (taking from Rohde, Murray, and McKneely).
Don’t post as much here as I used to but one of the only things that I am truly passionate about on this years team is that Dai Dai Ames is really damn good
I like Dai Dai, but I think the on/off stats are so kind to him mostly because he’s our only PG
Sharma- I can’t figure out in the data, so let’s maybe experiment a bit with him…
Sharma has the advantage of not having played very many minutes against Tennessee and St John’s. The SOS on his on-possessions is much weaker than on his off-possessions per Hoop Explorer.
Good reminder of a general rule that on-offs for the deeper parts of the rotation gets tricky, because they tend to play more against worst teams and might not play at all in the hardest games, whereas the top of the rotation is in for all the games.
And to your qualifier about Sharma, having 2 games which we got blown out and 4 which we mostly blew other teams out leads to a lot of noisy data right now. It’ll be interesting to see how these on/offs shake out after we play a few teams in the 50-150 range (or don’t get blown out by top 50 teams)
All-ACC PG Rohde begs to differ.
Right, Sharma has mostly only played in games against teams we were blowing out or against teams that had already blown us out and called off the dogs by the time he came in.
So his numbers are probably a little skewed.
Edit - iMac and Cofie being modest net minuses is a surprise.
