Both Guy and McKneely can get up but they need a full head of steam. Not like a Diakite who’s a pogo stick (and 6’9”) who needs zero time to get up

Yeah, but he grew up a WVU fan, and he’s from WV. If he leaves UVa, his NIL opps would be limitless in his home state.

Yeah, the whole point of iMac’s next move isn’t going to be about $$, or about playing closer to home. It’s going to be about maximizing his shot for a Final Four. He’ll get paid well regardless. But either he stays at UVA out of loyalty / academics, or he goes to the best roster missing a shooting guard so he can get to experience the kind of NCAAT run we likely can’t give him next year.

Or he pulls a Traudt and follows his GF to West Virginia. They’ll pay handsomely too but not really a F4 threat most likely.

But make no mistake, I won’t hold that against him and neither should anyone else. He’s been a great Hoo and deserves to go to the best situation for him.

WVU could be in the market for a new coach too, so he may want to see who it is first or maybe he can’t wait on them or else he’ll miss out on other opportunities.
