Noted Atlantic Sun Conference lacrosse member Utah along with Air Force, Jacksonville, Cleveland State, Robert Morris, Bellarmine, Detroit Mercy, Queens, and Lindenwood.
That’s about as messed up a conference you will see outside of the FCS football Pioneer League.
I didn’t know Lindenwood was allowed to compete in NC2A athletics. They showed up outta nowhere about 10 yrs ago on the rugby front buying guys from overseas. I always assumed it was a fake school.
Utah - Utah
Air Force - Colorado
Jacksonville - Florida
Cleveland State - Ohio
Robert Morris - Penn
Bellarmine - Kentucky
Detroit Mercy - Michigan
Queens - North Carolina
Lindenwood - Missouri
I guess they’re kind of in-land mid atlantic? You’d think for a non-revenue sport you’d want to play local opponents to avoid the airfare, but it feels like they’re trying to do the opposite here.
It’s a list of just the top lacrosse schools (by attendance). Somewhere else in that thread, he links the baseball attendance, which is dominated by the SEC.
Ford is moving to RF, “profiles best in the majors as a corner outfielder”, sounds like he’s looked good there so far.
Mentions Aidan Teel, Kevin Jaxel, Bryson Moore, and Ryan Osinski as having good summers.
Plan is to play Teel strictly as a position player, so no pitching for him next season.
Competition on the mound will “Be the best it’s been in 7-8 years”.
Says there will probably be 8-10 guys competing to be starting pitchers past Blanco and Woolfolk.
William Kirk and Tomas Valincius are “Two of the best left handers you can get to college”. Says they’re gonna be really special.
Godbout, Becker, and Hanson are all battling for the SS spot. 1st year Jackson Sirois also in the mix.
Talks a little bit about the transition of college baseball to being more HR-focused, says you have to be physical nowadays and so there has been an effort to add more size/muscle in recruiting.
Calls Ference “Another coach on the field”, says he’s stepped up as a leader and a mentor.
Joe Savino and Travis Reifsnider have both joined the staff.
Goes out of his way to mention Chris Arroyo, calls him a “pretty special player” and says he’s gonna play both ways.
Jack O’Connor still recovering from his injury, doesn’t give a timetable on his return. Same for Bradley Hodges.
Will also agree with the above, I know you can’t take away too much from reactions or facial expressions but BOC seems really excited about this team.
I like PG but the bias towards prospects who attend their events shows in this ranking. No shot Nunnallee is only the 239th best prospect given his draft projections.
Am guessing this is going strictly off their final 2024 ranking list.
