Hopefully Wolfolk can find his control… but he just didn’t have it today.
Was a major issue for him last year as our closer. He gets plenty of swings and misses with his fastball and can be dominant when he’s able to locate his offspeed pitches, but consistency especially down the stretch was never really there.
Starting pitching might be a WIP for us early this season as we figure out where all of our arms need to be slotted. Plenty of talent in this pitching staff but also plenty of question marks.
I’ve seen enough of this Palmer kid. He’s a machine.
Yeah… there were several games in the World Series I think he was in too long.

- Ford hits a high flyball into RF. The ball keeps travelling and Harrington loses it in the shade as it bounces over the wall. Ford ends up with a ground rule double, runner on 2nd and no outs for Saucke.
- Saucke on the next pitch hits one over McCoy’s head in CF as it bounces to the wall for a double. Ford scores, HOOS lead 7-6. Runner on 2nd, no outs for Didawick.
- Ump has started calling the outside corner despite it not being a strike earlier in the game. This happens a lot in college baseball.
- Didawick works a walk. Two on, no outs for Hanson.
- Hanson lays a nice bunt on the left side of the infield. The pitcher fields it and makes the throw for out #1. Both runners move up, 2nd and 3rd with one out now for Godbout.
