To what extent do people agree with me that Reece played big minutes as a freshman primarily because of his defense, not because of his ball handling?
I thought Morsell was a good defender but Reece seemed to leap frog him because of his pg skills. But I could be wrong.
All I know was Blue apparently soft committed on the visit and then Rohde announced the next day or so after.
Then Blue became dependent on Reeceās status. Or at least it became a factor.
Somebody on here saw Cain lot in HS and seemed close enough to have solid opinion and he or she was all about Cain
If Casey had shot 36% from 3 that year (instead of 26%), Iām reasonably convinced that he would have started over Reece.
Yeah, someone gave an in person report from that Geico tourney where he played really well
Was Cain Oak Hill? Think our guy was close to MoW. I may be making this up
His ball handling and decision making was good. Better than Morsellās.
Both were bad shooters.
Cain was IMG. I think poster has an Oak Hill tie, but knew Cain from watching him a few times
Also close to the oak hill program⦠so give us christian Anderson Jr tidbits LOL.
Thatās it
A Rohde in the hand is worth Blue in the bush.
Or it was supposed to be, anyway.
Both Cain and Rohde have a lot of college basketball ahead of them. I know we love jumping to conclusions here, but I think itās a little early to make declarations about who is the better player. Personally, I think Rohde is going to end up having the better career, but neither has been particularly inspiring to this point.
How many Chases in the bush is Dante in the hand worth?
none

I like Javian McCollum a lot last portal season. But man his 3pt% drop over the years. But at the same time the rise in his free throws shooting percentage ![]()

'Might explain the drop off in shooting
" McCollum was pretty good for them considering I donāt think he was a highly sought after transfer. He kinda just wore down at the end of the season and then got hurt.
Saw this as an apt way of describing the portla

I like him a lot. Solid production despite the step up in comp, and you donāt have to have the power conference translation uncertainty. Already has played for a defense-first coach in Moser (though they arenāt a Pack Line team).
My case for shooting optimism is that last season was his worst season from 3, so maybe he got varianceād a little, he takes a bunch of unassisted 3s, he hit his (almost completely unassisted) long 2s at a good rate, and the FT shooting.
Yeah I donāt think Javian McCollum is a bad shooter (especially with the ft %)
but with only two scholarships to work with and the last 5 years I just want a guard who can flat out shoot. No caveats needed
⦠that being said
McCollum McKneely Kon (when we flip him after showing him the Duke transfer portal forum threads that donāt even have him in the rotation and wanting to bring in portal wings and guards) Maliq Buchanan
