Man, I think weāve added enough to put a competitive team on the floor next year, albeit one that goes through some growing pains early. It will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments we make offensively and how that process plays out.
But if we can keep the nucleus of this group together, the potential looks to be there to make a serious run in 2025-26. Weāll have to see how some guys develop, but on paper that team could be loaded.

The teamās focus should be on winning in the short and long term, and Iām sure it is. They should ignore this, but it still makes me a little sad personally:
With 11 guys who want to play next year (Iāll hope Sharma realizes he isnāt getting run), and maybe adding another, we will again have 2-4 guys who arenāt getting playing time who are expecting it. Itās especially a bummer for me because I like all the guys in that category.
As it stands, I expect Rohde to get ~0 minutes. He stunk last year, and maybe he should have transferred, but I was holding out hope heād turn it around and be good.
I think Taine is getting squeezed, and I love that he stuck around and kept improving. I hoped heād be an efficient 20 mpg guy next year.
Cofie really gets squeezed by having Saunders and Power both commit. If we completely struck out OR had to scramble for a total scrub at the 4, he might be a starter. Now heās looking at mop up duty.
Bliss lucked out that Perry didnāt come, but with Warley and maybe the KSU guard, his minutes look lower than they did coming into the offseason.
I donāt even want to mention X because the board seems to think he will be a star next year. He might be, or he might get lost in the shuffle. The odds of the latter are increasing even if they remain low.
Again, this is all good for the team, the best players will play, and the other players will either eventually transfer or wait their turn.
But it is a bummer for a few guys on the roster, and I feel for them.

I feel like Cofie has always been viewed as a guy that needs a year to get up to speed (I hope not redshirt). If we were forced to play him a lot because we didnāt get any good PF transfers then Iām not sure that would be ideal for anyone. Itās rare that TB plays any bigs that early.

Taine is the one Iāll feel most bad about if he doesnāt make the cut. He stuck around, did his time on the bench, and got better. I hope he still finds a role next year, because I would like to see that loyalty rewarded. Thatās old school, man.

Iād love to see a starting lineup of Warley, iMac, Eli, Elijah and Power. Thereās enough height (and jumping height) there to play without a true center. So much potential on offense with that starting five.
When do guys report?
I think Cofie looks real good but Tony plays to win and he knows what he is doing. Most importantly we needed a good day and we finally got one. Ready for the season now
