Sheesh. What’s this rumor that I’m hearing about a scooter accident?

Let’s hope not! I remember De’Andre’s hand was a rumor initially. But man…

UVA training staff will take care of him. I appreciate Eli coming back for another year. All support for the young man and hoping for a speedy recovery!

D1 Docket just updated for 2024-25: The D1 Docket: 2025-26 Dockets: Power Conferences. Great resource to follow everyone’s non-conference schedules come together throughout the offseason.

Folks here tend to not like Jeff Goodman, which is fair. He’s not the most likable guy.

But also people think he dislikes us, or uniquely dislikes us, which is silly. He’s just a guy who’s trying to be annoying and constantly posting takes that he thinks will get engagement.

I know we’ve talked about it some, but I think the biggest wildcard is whether Blake or A-Rob can be a credible ACC center and maybe provide a smidge of offense as a bonus. Especially worried about covering any true centers we play, even though Hall, Burns, Bacot are now out of the league.

Yep, totally. He is the first to follow where the winds are blowing. With us, with everyone. And he does suck.

So, if people want to remedy that: stop sharing and engaging with his stuff (on social media platforms, not here)!!!

A Rob got some size and athleticism, we dont need him to score right now at this stage, just rebound and play good interior defense. Also we have Lang who transfered, i think our big men will be fine alot of bodies to throw around

Yeah this is a good point…I think my personal list of wildcards/swing factors in no specific order would be:

  1. Center production
  2. TJP self-creation abilities
  3. Bliss shooting
  4. Getting something real (preferably 2 somethings but I’d settle for 1) from the off-ball perimeter rotation (ie Rohde-Taine-Sharma).

The replies to the tweet are kind of interesting/illustrative. The average college hoops fan knows we stink on offense but somehow thinks that us winning the ACC is some sort of crazy take.

Since the natty, we are 12/16 in the ACC on offense, but a half game back of Duke in record. And probably tied or in first if we restricted it to ACC regular season.

I think it a 0.5 game just looking at regular season, per Torvik. 2019-20 to now Duke is 69-29, we are 68-29.

Kinda underrated how low Miami is on this list.

So now that the off-season portal recruiting is likely done with the Ames addition, how would you grade what the staff did?

I assume that record takes into account ACC tourney. (Sorry - for @AdventiveQuasar )

I think that’s a separate category, at least by spot-checking from one season.
