Columbia giving Ohio State a run for their money! Early match score is 1-1 with Columbia in the lead on 3 of the remaining 5 singles matches

Heh, they actually went for that second set of doubles lineups, but lost the doubles point.

And then they went Hopper at 6 and everyone else up a spot, but couldn’t pull it off. 4 of 6 singles matches went to the 3rd set, so it was somewhat tight.

Looking at the schedule, Danielle Collins is the up next match on Court 3 (no idea where the current court 3 game is at progress wise)

Collins down 4-0 about to resume after rain delay

wow 4 straight for Danielle collins 4-4

Among her father, PTJ, Serena’s hubby, and a few others we could put together a pretty unrivaled NIL program.

Danielle wins: 6-4, 6-4. Both she and Emma onto the next round. Such a contrast in personalities. Each a great representative of UVA tennis. And they both were selected for the USA Olympic squad.

…1:40pm we’ll see

Any minute now… stupid tennis is worse than aau with the scheduling lol

Edit: FINALLY IT"S OVER. Onto Navarro Gauff

Even though Navarro won the first game serving, she still somehow looked outclass by Gauff in terms of what they can do. And that 2nd game kinda proved that. Still hoping Navarro can pull it off

edit: 2-1 Navarro but glad the Wimbledon shot quality graph that I dont understand at least helps me feel less crazy in my assumption

Emma may not have the physical expertise as Coco, but she (Emma) is so cerebral. She loves the “problem solving” aspect of tennis (she talked about this the other day in an interview). She looks to discern weaknesses with her opponent, then use her (Emma) strengths to take advantage. She is so strong mentally. Go Emma! Take that 2nd set!
