Agreed. Need Wake to pull a rabbit out the hat throughout the month of Oct to

Never mind just looked at their schedule it ain’t happening.

@ VT
SMU
@ FSU

Before they head to Charlottesville. Guess we’ll have to wait until we face Miami in the ACC Championship.

Fired after a win, that’s tough

Not an ideal year for a certain in-state school to be looking for a coach with what is open. And it wouldn’t surprise me if FSU opens soon.

There’s something to this idea:

This is extremely cool and does scare me about playing @cal

Probably being pedantic, but I’d say it’s more like there’s a set of schools whose fans haven’t yet lowered their expectations to match parity. Not really a paradox. It’s part of getting to parity

I thought college football had a parity problem for a while but there are probably about 10-15 or so schools worth of fans who didn’t see it as a problem…

Then they needed a fumble in the end zone to beat one of the worst P4 teams in the country lol

Let’s not talk about what we needed to win against a team we were favored by 17 against.

After last night they’re all on the table as losses for me, I just hope it was a wake up call without needing to actually lose. NC State seemed to do that earlier, but I’m hoping this one served as a reality check after the big time wins.

Jesus, god forbid the staff only wins the games they are supposed to win instead of covering the spread (we’ve covered in every other win btw). Fire them all!

Yesterday’s performance was not good, but against a really gritty and very well coached unit we found a way to dominate in the second half. The team played off in the first half, but the staff clearly pushed the right buttons during halftime and we came out and dominated. This is what winning programs do. Seriously, if you watch other highly successful programs, there are always going to be games where you’re off, but the good teams/programs find a way to persevere and win anyway. Also, would not surprise me at all to see Wazzu win out from here on, they legitimately look solid so we’ll see. Spare us ā€œthe sky is fallingā€ BS until we actually do something that warrants that reaction. We’re 6-1 ffs lol

The Athletic ranked the open HC jobs and as of right now, VT was 6th after Penn State, Florida, Arkansas, UCLA and Oklahoma State and above Stanford, Oregon State, Colorado State, UAB and Kent State.

I think UF and PSU are roughly equal, just a matter of personal preference. To me, VT is a better job than Oklahoma State for sure. Maybe better than Arkansas except for the SEC logo. Maybe better than UCLA, but they have the Big Ten logo, the LA lifestyle and close access to top recruits. An easier path to winning at VT in the ACC, but maybe people are skeptical about that supposed new money (I’m highly skeptical myself).

Yeah, it’s a bad year to be in the market, not just against the programs that already fired their coaches, but the ones that will fire their coaches and the ones that will lose their coaches to other programs.

Oh. This would’ve been a good thread to talk about it… yeah SC not going for 2 to make it a 2 score game was insane. Horrific decision making.
