He provides me a distant third party at whom I can direct my disdain, thereby sparing people with whom I actually interact.
I havent seen any
This entire year at Ole Miss was that. All puff PR look at how far heās comeā¦
I think itās entirely possible Lane would have been a good hire but torched his reputation so thoroughly this offseason that he made himself a bad hire
He seems to do that every 8-10 years. Starting with his Oakland Raiders stint, then UT, then USC, then ā¦
Im curious to see his quirks last under the intense scrutiny of LSU.
Better not be skipping alumni golf outings or other functions.
I think theyāll be fine with all that as long as he wins
No doubt
I just think he might have affected his player acquisition ability with the PR disaster class heās pulled the last couple months and that would affect his ability to win
Iād be relieved tonight if my name was Lane Kiffin.
I donāt think he feels that way
He was going to take credit for any successes this team had after he left and LSU was going to pay him for them
Also heās an insane person. I donāt think regret would even cross his mind.

So the smoke is all about the JUCO QB now?

Lsu Ark and 2 other P4s are chasing him. Heās getting a lot of attention in the last 24hrs
Desperation is a stinky cologne.
Name is close enough. I can see the t-shirts like with JaCariās Army.
OT: The Mighty SEC
The ACC finishes 8-6 against the SEC, defeating #6 Ole Miss, #7 Texas A&M, #9 Alabama, and 8-4 Missouri.
Thatās 2 of the last 3 years that the ACC has had a winning record vs. the SEC.
With Miami beating Ole Miss, the SEC finishes 1-8 against P4 teams in bowls, 0-3 in the playoff against other P4 teams and doesnāt get to the title game for 3 straight years
I do think thatās a story of inter-SEC cannibalization. Guys that were backups on bama and Georgia are starters for Ole Miss, Vandy, and Mizzou now.
Meanwhile Miami is taking advantage of weak Florida and FSU teams to Hoover up the Florida talent and Ohio State, Oregon, and Indiana have pretty different recruiting/portal strategies than the old school SEC 5-stars out of high school and supplement with transfer bounce back guys from below the Mason-Dixon.
The SEC is obviously greatly diminished but if you lined them up with the B1G where 1 played 1, 2 played 2, etc, I think the B1G would win the top 3 (maybe even pretty easily based off what weāve seen so far) and the SEC would win 4-however deep you wanted to cut it off at.
I am still a respecter of SEC depth, but maybe Iām clinging onto the past and logos too much. And I bet if you gave Sankey truth serum heād say heād rather have the elite teams at the top with shots to win it all rather than the depth.
It is making me reconsider my SEC > B1G in realignment take though. 10-2 in the B1G is much more doable imo and might be a better long term path. I just still really hate the travel and PE investment and de facto murder of our baseball program it would entail.
I donāt think so. Heās visiting Arkansas now. I think weāre offering as QB2. I think the smoke is around Chandler or someone not on our radar.
