I agree with you completely. I’ve lost so much of my love for college fb and bb because of this. Thankfully there is less of an impact on other sports for me at least overtly.
We’ll have a pretty familiar starting lineup next season which will be nice

Yes exactly. Explosive player who I’d like to see utilized in a lot of different looks. He doesn’t have stone hands so slot reps aren’t out of the question. It looked like Indiana was in pursuit so I think that speaks to his talent level as well.

I’ve been watching whatever tape I can find today (not highlights- full game replays) and I’m loving this add. He’s as fast as anyone we’ve had in recent memory and UAB used him in a lot of different ways, including as a slot receiver.
My only concern is Des trying to force him the ball on screens but he’s so dynamic that those should still work.

Yep our plan is undoubtedly to get old and stay old. Means we over rely on the portal a little but for a program like ours I think it makes a lot of sense. We’re bringing in more multi year transfers too which I like as well to fill recruiting gaps (Maddox, Camac, etc)

Hard to watch Indiana and not conclude age is a great way to build. I’d love to get a super experienced QB in here to match.

Have to think with such a strong, experienced offensive line and clarity from the NCAA that Chandler Morris is not returning, Virginia will now be a viable option for some good QBs.
In many ways, our QB recruiting really just kicked into high gear with yesterday’s clarity.
We were never going to pay top dollar for the highest-priced QBs, so I don’t think we really missed out.
Believe we will find an excellent fit as every agent worth their salt with a good QB prospect probably has Virginia on speed dial right now.

I’m not sure this is necessarily true.. I bet we’re in the financially competitive realm for this. Not for Leavitt or Raiola against the Oregons and LSUs of the world, but we can absolutely compete financially with Baylor and Northwestern who we’ve lost 2 of these targets to.
