Yea heās not going to be at UNM for long. Although, they didnāt get an invite to the new pac-12 iirc so may be able to dominate the new mountain west alongside GCU/UNLV
I remember wanting Shaka to be our coach so badly at the time
Sometimes good things happen against your will
Iād still like to know who the coach was that we didnāt give enough time to answer or whatever. Very happy with Odom but still like to know those types of things. Worked out very well for us.
Shaka wouldāve been very not fun.
I assumed that was Shaka
This tweet seems like a shot at Danny Neckel.
Also, is anyone else curious if Chandler Morris can play basketball?

So who has the highest scoring bench in conference? Was slightly surprised to hear them say we had the second highest bench scoring production in conference
Weāre still undefeated at home since they put Ty Jeromeās name on the courtā¦. Just saying.
Looks like Virginia is +2 in net and NC State is -2 while Dayton is a +10 up to 74.
Also Northwestern up +10 to 69

The outer limits of player tenures from the Tony Bennett era are pretty close together on the court. Solomon Tatās name is in the O and Elijah Gertrudeās name is the N of Tony.

Dayton needs to get to 50 to be Q1 but at least this makes them Q2 pretty safely
Nice
Looking at bracket matrix, weāre pretty much grouped together with Mich St and Texas Tech as the top 4 seeds. I expect Texas Tech to drop off now with Toppins injury so I think weāre competing with Mich St, Kansas, Gonzaga, Nebraska, and maybe Florida for a 3 seed. We need to pass two of those teams to get on the 3 line.
Mich St still plays Purdue, Michigan and Indiana (who is desperate for a big win). Likely that they finish the regular season with at least 7 losses.
Nebraska still has to go out west and has Iowa. If they lose a couple then we can pass them.
Kansas plays Arizona on Saturday which is likely their 8th regular season loss.
The question to me is whether a close loss to Duke validates us in the eyes of the committee because 27-4 will certainly look like a much better record than teams who have 7 or 8 losses. But not sure weāll have strong enough metrics to pass them without a Duke win.
Up to a 3 seed on CBS bracketology
NC St got rocked by 30 last nightā¦. and dropped from 27 to 28 in the NET. It makes it a quad 1 win, so Iām not complaining, but how the heck?
Feel like 5-1 (which implies an acc championship or win at Duke) is a 2-seed or first 3-seed. 4-2 with loss at Duke and ACC championship loss is a 3-seed. 3-2 is a 4 seed. 2-2 is a 5-seed, which feels like the floor.
Yeah, my rough guess is:
Win out completely: 2 seed
Win out, but drop 1 game either against Duke OR in ACCT final: 2 or best 3 seed
Drop 2 games, one against Duke and in ACCT final: 3 seed if chips fall right
Drop 2 games, against Duke and in ACCT semifinals: probably 4 seed
Lose to Virginia Tech and Wake Forest: Burn it down
On todayās CBS pod, Norlander and Parrish said we go to the 2 line with a win at Duke
Yep I think this is right. Only caveat is win out (very unlikely) might just be a 1 seed, especially with 2 wins over Duke.
There is 90% of the seasonās data in the computer now so any movement will be small. Youāll see the larger jumps earlier in the season when the data pool is smaller. You may have been promised that there would be no math, but thatās the answer. This is why itās silly to stress over these types of stats and rankings earlier in the season.
Itās honestly incredible we jumped as much as we did in Kenpom last night
