T-Rank WAB sits at +0.12 (47th). Our 3 regular season games have the following WAB values:
@Louisville: +0.93
UNC: +0.74
VT: +0.51
A loss subtracts from your WAB by 1-WABvalue, e.g. the Louisville game would be -0.07 WAB with a loss (it’s a very hard game). So we have the potential gain of +2.12 WAB and loss of -0.88 WAB over those last 3 games.
Last season the at-large with the lowest WAB was Princeton (-0.50, #50) and the team highest in WAB that missed the tournament is James Madison (+1.1, #44).
So, if we lose the next two but beat VT… we’re at ~0.3. If we then go 1-1 in the ACCT, the WAB is likely to not change much from there (maybe go down a little?). Things could swing half a point either way, and we’re still in that uncertain range.
