Went looking at the roster to #remembersomeguys, and nothing resonated that much. BJ Raymond, Derrick Brown. End of the Sean Miller era (round 1). They caught us the last two years of the Leitao era.
Ashamed to say I canât remember when the David West era at X was⌠(spoiler: I was way off)

A&M gimmicky and built for early season success. Donât see any advantage to playing them. Wonât see a style like that again later on.

I did - I think itâs an idea theyâve had. I donât think itâs likely this year (if at all), especially since they added Vide - but if he did get to the point where they felt comfortable playing him there then that would be pretty intriguing.

Mike Barber was on Luke Neer yesterday talking about TDR winning some tourney or something over in Europe recently. Barber said he saw it on his IG. Whatâs he talking about? I checked IG and donât see anything relevant (unless it was a story that expired or whatever)

Feels like A&M would be the tougher game early that looks less tough at the end of the year and Xavier could be the opposite. Lil Pitino has a good roster. They could compete in the Big East but probably will take some time to gel.

Yeah, I think A&M will be better but probably not a huge difference. But my personal preference would be to see us play Bucky Ball / Haggerty / Mbako.

The DWest era was my era. D graduated in 03. We hooped together for a couple years before he left.
D is a Thad guy. Sean dogged walked Leitao and cost me a GF along the way.

JCrew U doesnât even rate on Xâs radar.
That said, looking back they had a heck of a run on coaches between the mid 90s and the 2k. And managed to keep their program stable and successful despite turnover and conference changes.

I think GrĂźnloh is the key - if heâs 22 minutes a game, with a 12, 8, 3 line (points, rebounds, blocks), we are Elite 8 or higher quality. If heâs 18minutes with a 9, 5, 1.5 line, our ceiling is lower.
