Nick rotter? I think. Preferred âwalk onâ I believe
Good on Nick for taking full advantage!
Have we hit rock-bottom in the sports landscape right now? Thereâs nothing on TV, nothing to really plan a cookout around now, or to have your friends over. The 3M Open isnât moving the needle. And even though Iâm a big Red Sox fan and they just 15 games in a row(until last night), Iâm pretty bored. A few musings during the dead period:
-
THAT preferred walk on kid is jacked in the above photo! I wonât lie, he might, and I stress might, make me stay at the gym an extra 20 minutes this week. Iâm definitely eating a salad tonight.

I have to be honest, Iâm a little depressed that The World Cup is over. That was great Summer viewing. Went to my buddies house for the final game on Sunday. We made Hawaiian chicken and Hawaiian Macaroni salad. Plus a bunch of other dips chips and sides. If you donât know what those are Google them. Both are money, but I have to tell you that Hawaiian macaroni salad is phenomenal. Itâs kind of sweet and gives you KFC coleslaw vibes but in a macaroni salad. Iâm a big fan.

I need some new grilling recipes for August. Give me your go to âeveryone loves thisâ recipe for grill or side dish. Iâm sick of mine and Iâm hosting like 6 kids for two weeks up in the Cape. . I am currently in South Florida and itâs like living on Venus. Need some culinary inspiration.

Went and saw The Odyssey. Pretty much sucked- I wasnât that entertained but it got mildly better at the end. Iâm sure you guys covered it elsewhere on the movie thread but I thought it was very mediocre.

I wish I could have taken Sophie Cunningham to my Prom.
Enjoy the summer and let me know if anyone is up near Boston/Cape Cod in the next couple of weeks!
Excellent choices.
TBT just started not long ago! I watched two really good games last night. Kentucky alum vs Louisville alum, and Kansas vs Kstate alums. Both down to the wire, elam ending and all
Never fear the CONCACAF Youth Tournament is almost here!
Havenât tried it myself yet, but this recipe for Seattle-style teriyaki from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt looks good:
Yeah, he had me feeling pretty bad about a month away from the gym up here in the mountains in SW Colorado. But I did get in a 16 mile MTB ride with 1,100 feet of elevation gain this morning, so thereâs at least that.
Cedar plank salmon is one of my go-tos when I need something quick and easy with little clean up. I do it on the top rack of my infrared grill. Cooks up to a perfect medium rare in about 15-17 minutes.
Pulled pork is also always a crowd pleaser, though I smoke that on my Webber. DM me if youâd like my rub recipe.
My friend who is a high school coach sat in on practice today⌠said Harmon broke his foot and is out until Octoberâand Anya was in a boot⌠can anyone else confirm?
Yeah⌠I was looking for a second sourceâweâve got the same one!
Obviously always hate injuries but we are better positioned to absorb an injury at the 2/3 than any UVA team has been at any position since what? 2014-15 in the post?
Anyaâs shouldnât be long term. Hopefully Harmon heals up well.
Yikes. Any truth to the Tu rumor (Tumor?) that Nolan is listening to offers from other schools and not as in the boat as we thought?
Videszn soon
If he were right, it would be the first thing he was right about all off-season. So letâs hope he stays 0-fer
Injury rumors are always correct
Meaningful reps for Silas in practice if Anya is out.
Although it does offer a chance for the first ever PGA event win by a UVA alum. That will make me watch Sunday if it looks like it might materialize.
As for the rest, yep.
Can players just leave for another school anytime they want before the season starts?
