Well, this was wrong @wahoobelinda. UConn is 3, so Duke will be 2 or 1.
Lots of ACC podcast preview content out in the last few days. Not much too interesting. Some have Louisville higher, some have us. General consensus seems to be that we are higher floor, they are higher ceiling.

Iâm watching it now. Iâll give Will another chance until he starts pissing me off again.
Randolph Childress said the exact same thing regarding GrĂźnloh. If he can take a leap this season it will be huge for us. My only concern with him is staying out of foul trouble. If he can do that, he wonât disappoint, in my view. I do also hope he is more aggressive on the offensive end.
Will is the only person I have heard ranking VT as high as he did. At the risk of saying anything good about them, I do think they have a legitimate shot of being in the top third of the conference; weâll see.

Co-workerâs son is looking like he will be starting for Bucknell when they come to JPJ in November. He played his first year at the D-II level. Looks like a good player!

We will find out about the others, but Sam at 382 is ridiculous.
I know a lot of people like his work, but there are so many intangibles that are often not captured by a preseason statistical model. Also.
they depend on some human assumptions that I am skeptical. I equally take Torvikâs model that has us 3rd with skepticism for the same kind of various human assumptions.

I guess weâll see. It seems that there are so many unknowns about a lot of teams that rankings â both human and statistical â are all over the place.

Not that it really matters anymore, but we are now in âofficial practiceâ season. Which means, IMO, we have moved from the offseason, to the preseason. So happy preseason everyone! Hoops is just around the corner (literally!).
