So you’re saying he’ll win a Super Bowl with the Giants after spending next season in Huntington, W.Va.

See the courts ruled against the Colorado injunction making cazeem Moore and Jacob Holmes ineligible again. I’d imagine both will go to court now and fight

I agree with others that the ESPN article on Pribula’s transfer portal journey is well worth a read and in my mind also an example of what’s wrong with the current state of college football. In comparison to the college football portal, the NFL free agency process is Robert’s Rules of Order. It’s wild that we can thank Coleandra in part for why Pribula came here. Truly bizarre.

Also Beebe gone gone gone.

Interesting to me that Beebe hasn’t been axed yet. Thought it would happen quickly. There’s probably some protocol that they need to follow but I also wonder if they are considering keeping him

Edrine played the whole season with everything he had going on. I’d imagine Solomon will get the same grace until his day in court.

He was arrested in February and immediately kicked off the team.

He played professional sports? I just thought he was the big dude from Adam Sandler movies.

The investigation started before the arrest. I’m sure they had an idea, unless the victim delayed reporting, which I can’t remember the dates.

Yep, investigation began August 25th, right before the season started

The staff knew then.

Never been clear. Literally days before the arrest, Tony was in his press conference raving about Edrine’s character. But more to the point, there was no waiting after the arrest for a day in court.

I assume Elliott is someone who likes to let the criminal investigation process run its course somewhat first rather than immediately punishing based on an accusation alone. Not a conviction necessarily but at least a preponderance of evidence and a case strong enough for the Commonwealth attorney to bring charges. And probably sometimes it’s obvious right away… A DUI, for example. But sometimes, like in a He Said She Said situation (e.g. Edrine), the investigation takes time. And for most of us in the peanut gallery, there’s an urge to rush to judgement, but I’m glad “innocent until proven guilty” is our right, shame the courts of public opinion so rarely recognize that.

couldn’t say it better! I bet the university makes the decision to let him play opening week.

Certainly glad that’s the standard for the court of law but I don’t believe universities or companies should operate that strictly about it. Beyond a reasonable doubt is a high standard. If, to use a hypothetical of this case as an example, there was a video of him punching his dog repeatedly I would certainly hope the university wouldn’t wait to see if a lawyer got him off on a technicality or incorrect procedure by the police/CA office

Only 2-10% of similar cases are false reports. So 90+% chance. What’s nice about public opinion is that who cares it’s a person with an opinion that’s why we have courts. Also sometimes people play the odds right.

Did anyone else watch Tragedy to Triumph on ACCN tonight? Really well done. From the 2022 shooting to last year’s ACC championship game run
