Not shocking but still sucks obviously. New coach going to have his work cut out for him recruiting these players to come back and keep the recruiting class intact. Going to be super interesting to see it play out

All those guys are seniors though right? I’ll be the optimist. It means they’re all planning to use the extra year, and potentially could return to UVA if the right new coach convinces them. I’m thinking like Indiana basketball last year during the coaching change. Nearly the whole team entered the portal but most ended up staying.

I’m okay with all those guys leaving. In a normal year they would all be leaving, and I’m not sure keeping any one of them around for the year, gives them time to improve that will make an impact on the team’s performance.
Team doesn’t know, if they did it would’ve leaked…all over the place

Almost as I predicted when they signed him, I forgot all about that kid once we took that year out. Don’t blame him thought one program is nearing it’s peak finally the other… we have no clue.

I think he would’ve come here but for the coaching change. 2J has been really good at developing relationships with his players and recruits.
Once Bronco left, I knew Gentry wasn’t coming and I seriously doubt Brown or either McKenzie brother ever step foot on grounds. I know that’s not exactly going out on a limb, of course.

I think really only Twitty, Meadows, Burgos and Bettridge, maybe Bracie, will be here no matter the coach. The 2 QBs, X Brown, Gay, Hardy and the other guys I didn’t mention will/should talk to Dex (or whoever the new coach is) or his coordinators before deciding.

Just sucks we lost Gentry and Brown. Two NFL potential linemen not even waiting to see if 2J is retained. Losing Meadows on top of that it would really hurt from a recruiting momentum standpoint.
