All I will say is that last season Goodman couldnāt understand why Power wasnāt getting max playing time. I remember him giving Ron crap about that.

Tennessee is definitely the leader in āwhich fanbase should be the most mad?ā Somehow, the actual mad fanbases are Auburn (wanted a Duke rematch) and Kentucky (making disparaging comments about UNC being a bubble team).

I forgot, which conference was in charge of the matchups this year? I think they alternate.
Jeff Lamp was also Mr. Kentucky Basketball Player and chose Virginia over Bobby Knightās Indiana team and I am sure Kentucky would have wanted him. Lamp, Lee Raker, Terry Gates and Louisville point guard Jerry Eaves all played together at Louisville Ballard HS for Shultz who became an assistant to Terry Holland and the Hoos. Raker committed first then Lamp then Gates transferred and sat out a year as he was a year older. Lamp and Raker were absolutely great and if we had three point line with them shooting plus Ralph inside we would have won our first National Championship then. It started soon after they graduated

So I get him as a prospect, I do, but Iām not sure I see him as an immediate difference maker playing PG for a pretty meh Hokie squad otherwise. Young is a good coach and maybe this is copium, but Iām skeptical heās going to immediately raise their floor like 5+ games or something.

Donāt tell that to their fans. Theyāre rolling. Seen at least 5 say this makes them a Sweet 16 team. Arvin and others calling it the biggest recruiting win in program history (which may be true honestly). The consensus is this move instantly makes them a tournament team.

Their maintenance staff has been instructed this week to dust off the trophy case and slide the bass trophies and soil judging trophies from the center to the sides to make room for their basketball hardware.
