Notre Dame is going to be real close to taking that road loss out of Q3 bad loss territory. They’re ranked 153 today, 135 is the Q2/3 line. Will make a jump tomorrow.

Head to head, the ACC beat the Big12, the Mountain West, and tied (should have beat) the SEC, yet all three conferences are ranked ahead of us. It’s all bullshit, but I don’t care as long as UVA squeezes into the NCAAT.
The ACC ranks #1 in cherry picking stats to show that we haven’t fallen off a cliff in hoops. Take that, other high major conferences.

Curious whether the #goacc refs bear any of the blame for the perception that the league is down this year. There have been several games (not just ours) w/blantantly terrible reffing, which does impact outcomes, at times. If we had competent referees, would teams look more consistent across games? Just a thought . . .

None whatsoever. There’s no such thing as ACC refs. Those guys do games for other conferences, too. Except for TV Teddy who most leagues have banned. I guess Grant’s uncle is partial to him

Markquis Nowell from KState last season has been my go to. And a good model of how to have a great defense with a little offense-first guard (play a bunch of defense first guys around him who get propped up by the guard on offense).
