Rob Cassidy at rivals saying he’s hearing from people he trusts Miami for the Boozer Bros.

Brahim at 247 is saying he’s not going to hard pick anyone but is thinking Duke.

I’ll never understand the draw to Miami.

Ever been to Miami?

False alarm it was another recruit lol. Just the night before the boozer twins commit (or that’s what the assumption is.)

As you know I most always joke. But for real. You ever been to Miami?

Yes, and I of course get it, but I’d assume Carlos has the long term picture in mind.

Boozer twins to Duke.

That Jamie Shaw tweet aging like milk. I know it was supposedly meant for another recruit picking Miami, but holy cow the timing was terrible, had to get everyone’s hopes up just to see them crash back to earth today.

Was thinking about the pre-season ACC ā€œrankingsā€ that are starting to go around. Almost all of them have Duke and UNC 1-2 (which probably happens most years). This year however, you’ve got Cooper Flagg, Kon, Maluach, and Drake Powell, Ian Jackson. I would bet that not all 5 of them hit. Now Flagg is likely a stud and RJ Davis will be good/Cadeau may make a leap but so much depends on 5 freshmen contributing at a very high level in their 1st year. Odds are that doesn’t happen.

I hate saying this but Duke is gonna be very good for next few years

The thing with Duke is that they built a roster that doesn’t need a lot of freshman to hit. They have Proctor and Foster back and add Sion James for the backcourt, so a lot of experience there that lets guys like Kon and Isaiah Evans work in with less pressure. Mason Gillis and Maliq Brown similarly give breathing room to Malauch and Ngongba, and Flagg is probably the real deal. They’ll be fine, five vets in the rotation along with 4-5 blue chip freshmen will work well enough.

UNC similarly really only needs Jackson and Powell to fill minutes at the 2/3. They’ve got three returning guards (Davis, Cadeau, and Trimble), and three veteran transfers in the front court (Tyson, VAL, and Claude). I’ve got my concerns here, I’m not sure what the identity is, it feels like a lot of good looking pieces but I worry about how they fit together and how quickly they’ll gel. But I think the five-star-freshmen presence is only a small part of that.

So did the Boozers plan this. Okay we’re going to Duke, how do we break it to the locals? Friday evening news dump? Yes, but not enough to soften the blow. How about waiting until a big ass hurricane hits, nobody will even notice.

More likely that the Boozer twins were going to commit to Miami but then remembered Hurricanes aren’t just the Miami mascot.

Sorry to laugh, it’s just such bad timing for them on the gif tweeting.
