This is a long-ass weather delay, and I’m sitting here comfortably at home, with other games to pass the time. Would hate to be sitting through this in the locker room.

Reminds me of days at the swimming pool, and every time there was thunder, the lifeguards would reset the 30-minute countdown. And we didn’t have phones or anything so we just kinda sat around doing nothing. Probably we couldn’t even leave because Mom was gonna pick us up at 4 or whatever.

I never sat through a delay like that but knowing how my mind works a break like that would absolutely kill me.i run too hot to turn it on and off like that

About 25 years ago I went to a HS game in Ohio. About halfway through (so let’s say 8 or 830 maybe) we get a thunder crack and the sky opens up. Everyone scrambles under the bleachers to wait out the delay. They finished the game well after midnight. Nobody had left as far as I could tell. Again, a HS game.
I can’t recall being so bored AND so stunned at the same time. Ohio is a strange place. They not like us.
I think about this sometimes when I consider UVa’s football ceiling.

Ohio HS football is on par with Texas. Used to go to St. X vs Moeller games easily several k standing the whole time

Be real curious to see if this number is accurate. Thats a massive invest at the drop of a hat as a blank check especially given the schools admitted issues raising funds.
