Donāt see how they sustain that type of investment. Especially with a program that isnāt set up to bounce back quickly. Thereās a big rebuild there and even with the portal, itās still Blacksburg VA and will likely end up being a barren roster

My completely uninformed guess is that theyāll announce a plan to get to that $200m number Whit threw out over a couple of yearsā¦ which by the time they get there it will be behind again. And it wonāt all be for football. Increasing your athletic budget by like 40% overnight would be hard for any school in the country.

Is that 50 mil per year? Or 50 mil over a number of years? 50 mil a year for an athletic department with a total budget of 132 million and a football budget of 40 million is frankly not believable.

Yeah thatās kind of what Iām saying.. the reporting seems to indicate itās them closing the gap to top ACC spenders like what whit Babcock presented to them a couple of months ago.
Itād be a huge increase for one year and no one seems interested in reporting whatās actually happening.
