I can’t decide which team I hate more, Duke or Louisville???

Respectfully this is easy

To keep it simple- dook. Louisville has not been a threat.

Mckneely is a big ole nothin burger in this game so far

I just noticed him trying to do some defense. He moved his feet rather than watching his guy blow by him. :exploding_head:

Annoyed that Duke is a legit top five team again. Really was a doubter after the FSU and GT games. A point for KenPom over Torvik there.

IMac is still the player he was here at UVA - nothing more, nothing less. Great kid, great shooter when open. I hope he finds a good country to continue his professional career.

Okay Duke is pretty good, who knew

Yeah, I thought they’d take a step back this year. Oh well…

Sucks but they can easily win it all

Yeah was having that thought last night. That Michigan-Duke game is looking like an absolute banger now.

Seems like a clear top tier of those two plus Houston and Arizona and Michigan State I guess

There’s certainly a lot of awesome teams in that next tier that could win it all, but those 4-5 seem like a cut above to me

I know Arizona had a nailbiter last night, but it would be very funny if Lloyd does it in a couple years at Arizona before Few gets one.

As long as they don’t win a title, I’m fine. Don’t see anyone beating them for ACC regular season title or ACC tourney champ, but just praying someone like Houston knocks them off again in the NCAAT

Was surprised to see us at only +800 for the ACC regular season title yesterday. I wouldn’t bet that, but it was nice to see. We were the clear #2 still.

Edit: were +1000 today, guess the Louisville win was pretty big for them. Still a decent gap between us and Clemson at +1600

Don’t know if you can quite impute that to mean we have best odds to finish second in the conference but probably at least highly correlated

Tech beat GT last night but again tried to give away the game late. Neo had another mediocre performance. In ACC play, he’s shooting 31% (33 for 106) overall, and 19% (9 for 48) from three.

There was some offseason debate around the better international signing and De Ridder is clearly night and day better than Avdalas, but I’d also rather have Grünloh too.

Neo kinda Is exactly what everyone (outside of tech fans who thought he’d be LeBron at this level) thought he would be. A good play maker/faciliator - great positional length and potential - not a good scorer at this point.

It’s why you can’t argue with Tech fans about basketball (or anything really…), facts don’t matter!

I had a lot of that discussion with my mom and it was difficult to get her to understand the distinction between potential vs. likely production in college. Neo has far better pro prospects than TDR, and probably Grünloh too, but TDR was pretty clearly going to be a much better college player and Grünloh’s floor was higher. The ratings don’t do a good job of describing that and the euro ones were all over the map, but a lot of what NBA teams like about him is the raw potential which doesn’t really bode great for college.

They also thought that Dorn was going to be some kind of euro savior, but didn’t realize how bad of a league he played in. Dude is just large.

TDR was clearly one of premier euro signings for likely college production this year.

When I watch Avdalas play… you can see he is a good player… what I don’t see in his eyes is that he gives a damn about whether VT wins or loses. VT is a business transaction for him… no more, no less.

Noticed this too! Don’t get that sense at all from Grünloh and De Ridder though
