25 points in 7 minutes - wow!
While shooting 1/6 from 3
The Dead Cat Bounce! Also the âplaying BCâ adrenaline rush.
The Miami adrenaline didnât lastâŚBC by 10.
Pitt rallies in the second half to beat Cal at home, preserving one of the very few opportunities for a good win in conference play.
At the first half under-8 timeout, Miami led BC 32-13.
They were outscored 65-36 the rest of the way, a 29 point swing.
Louisville about to knock off UNC.
UNC just imploded last 3-4 minutes. Louisville played well in that stretch but most of it was UNC being dumb & sloppy.
What happened with the Todd Golden story about stalking and photos and full-on deviancy and all that stuff? Was it swept under the rug like UVA did with Jeff Jones?
Just wondering because it seemed like a hot story and itâs gone away like Gary Condit the day before 9/11.
Thatâs an old school reference that some of you wonât understand, but the old heads will know.
The investigation is still ongoing, I think, but the longer it goes with no word, I do wonder whatâs upâŚ
So who did kill Chandra Levy? Did I go my entire time in DC being vaguely scared by Rock Creek Park for no apparent reason?
And what is up with UNC? I thought that was maybe a top ten team? Maybe it was Bacot all along (as a good player, not Chandra Levyâs killer)
Well, Golden said he was consulting a lawyer about a counter suit to make him sound really defiant.
The decision by the Florida admin to let him coach while investigation goes on is truly bizarre. Either clear him and let him coach or put him on leave until heâs cleared or otherwise. Itâs a matter of student safety, allegedly, unless itâs not (in which case just clear him).
Heard from a source that I really trust that all of the âpile onâ women who made allegations have recanted and that the woman making the claim against Golden is well, maybe not being truthful. Surprised me because I though for sure that Golden was a creeper, which was a shame because Goldenâs wife is very attractive, but was assured that there was good evidence in favor of the coach so the UF admin didnât have cause to take action against Golden.
Could be, but still begs the question: why donât they come out and publicly close the investigation and clear his name?
Best I can tell, Hamâs contract is up at the end of the season.
Maybe itâs a situation where the scope/extent of what he did isnât as dramatic or serious as the initial report suggested but that thereâs still enough that doesnât make him look good. Ex: if he had an affair with a student (or attempted to have one) that went south and she retaliated, he probably wouldnât get fired for it but I canât imagine the administration would be fully behind him with a public ringing endorsement.
Who knows what happened but the initial report made me think that he did something wrong at minimum.
Yeah, also have to consider the high bar for someone to report this through Title XI. Thereâs no real benefit and extraordinarily high personal cost. Itâs a lengthy process (6-12 months). Thereâs also an undisclosed number of accusers.
Very possible that UF simply doesnât want the inevitable push back from fans and players if they were to put him on admin leave for that length of time, regardless of the seriousness of accusations. That seems more likely than there being a determination made one way or the other already.
Saw this which was helpful:
The drones stole all the evidence
I read that Markus Burton is available to play today. Will go through warmups to see if heâs ready to go.
Burton is playing. I donât think he started but heâs in there now, has 6 points.
Who did ND lose other than Burton. They have been disappointing even with him out though that was a pretty big loss
Carey Booth, who is currently out of the rotation for Illinois.
