Postseason has arrived!
Started from the bottom (of the bracket) now we here
(Picture us on the podium with the confetti falling)
Man, the only thing I learned from the comments is that this conference is “such ass” and worthy of 2 bids.
I don’t know why I go down that rabbit hole.
Didn’t know Louisville hired Kate Middleton as a freelance photo editor.
They spent all their resources trying to verify that was McCool’s real last name
If you had to pick?
- 72-70 loss to Clemson
- 59-55 win over Boston College
PS …: one of these will generate better metrics for us.
Also wonder if they know what year it is? Unless I’m mistaken and there’s some other reason they have number 23 jerseys
Easiest. Poll. Ever.
Which one would you rather:
- Lose to Clemson 74-73
- Beat BC 61-58 and then lose to Duke 75-57
Which option is actually better for our madness outcome?
Sorry dave not to pick on you but this is an absurd poll lol
Why absurd? It’s entirely feasible, and I’m just trying to figure out what would look better to the committee.
Of course I and all of us would much rather defeat, Clemson, defeat, Duke, defeat, North Carolina in order
Which one would you rather
- body of a walrus with the head of a sea lion
- body of an egret with the head of a meerkat
(never a bad moment to drop the reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFgvlgyONtI)
I went with egret despite the likely hit to the computer metrics
I guess I am way off thinking a close loss to a single-digit seed, Q1 team in the 70s looks better than a win in the 50s against a crappy team. I suppose it might be true that winning any game in the tournament is good.
I don’t think it’s a stupid question though. I will go with the alternative of getting to the championship game!
The first one was easy. This one is a lot closer.
Who y’all got today?
2:00 PM - #13 Georgia Tech (14-17, 7-13) vs #12 Notre Dame (-1.5) (12-19, 7-13)
- Georgia Tech
- Notre Dame
4:30 PM - #15 Louisville (8-23, 3-17) vs #10 NC State (-9.5) (17-14, 9-11)
- Louisville
- NC State
7:00 PM - #14 Miami (-2.5) (15-16, 6-14) vs #11 Boston College (17-14, 8-12)
- Miami
- Boston College
I honestly think @DavetheWave ‘s poll brings up a great point while also exposing where analytics (which are a great thing) are flawed.
Was thinking about snagging a ticket to the Thursday late session, but Dukies are driving up the price. Man, close to 100 bucks for real nosebleeds worse than any possible seat in JPJ to watch a couple games by myself.
