Got a burner on here like KD, lol
My crazy person idea is TDR on Henderson, Grünloh/Ugo on Reneau, and Lewis on Udeh. Udeh is low usage so not really a major post up threat, and it might actually be good to be able to switch screens.
Big problem with that is Reneau is a 3pt threat, which would pull our rim protection out of the paint. But TDR on Henderson isnāt a bad idea. Just leaves Lewis to handle Reneau.
Who is Hendricks?
Shelton Henderson. He was getting to the rim pretty easily in the second half when we played them a couple weeks ago. They had a bunch of possessions where it was just a Henderson iso.
Sorry, repeated a typo from the quoted post.
Game day!!! GO HOOS!
Malik is really good when he can get to the midrange and play off 2 feetā¦. Like really really good - hoping he realizes thatās his power the rest of his career here!!
Someone also needs to tell Chance to breathe⦠when he is all juiced up he plays a little too fenetic.
I think that is just the way he plays basketball. He is a freshman the game will slow down for him and his full throttle style will start looking more orchestrated.
Chance gave some Kihei flashbacks yesterday on a couple of his drives that got blocked. Need him to lock in tonight
Idk they sorta suck at shooting threes and FTs and did an excellent job doing that in our home meeting. Thereās a chance this one isnāt very close if we can stay hot from outside
Canāt get worked on the boards again either. Gonna need another A game from Ugo as we know Grünloh isnāt going to be 100%. Blocking, rebounding and banging with those bigs is going to be an issue with a sore wrist
Didnāt Miami shoot the lights out from 3 the last time we played and that really isnāt their game?
They shot 50% but so did we. My memory from that game is that Miami couldnāt possibly play better than they did and we also played extremely well to get the win. It felt like a high level sweet 16 game
Defensive rebounding will be most important stat of the game imo.
Ugo is the best.

Speaking of rebounding, why have we stopped being an elite rebounding team? @Cuts_from_The_Corner @AdventiveQuasar best takes?
Stats since Feb 9 circled in red offensive and defensive left to right (a bit arbitrary date but enough of a sample)
Line moved towards Miami. Now -3.5
That date would be starting with the FSU game. Soā¦
FSU, OSU, GT, Miami, NC ST, Duke, Wake, VT, NC ST
I think a combination of only a 9-game stretch, better competition and teams being aware that we get a ton of second chance points. We killed GT on the glass still, for example. Miami and Duke are just good rebounding teams. We only missed 27 shots in total in that first NC State game.
Iād also suspect - some of this was during the window of the Duke game and after when some of our guys were playing lethargically. Malik Thomas saw a lower stretch of minutes (under 20 in 4 of the 9 games) and is a good rebounder. Ugo played 30 minutes yesterday and Grünloh is a very good offensive rebounder/he probably had to try to save some energy for the defensive end. He also was in a more timid stretch for a couple of weeks before the past two.
I havenāt really noticed that weāre doing much different strategically, although I can keep an eye out for that.
Probably not just one reason but more one of those things that gets harder as your competition improves, gets more tape on you, and is giving all of their energy as the games matter more.
