I hate that we didn’t win. I hate (almost as much!) that Duke did win. But I expected to feel way worse about it than I do. The team we saw this weekend is SO much better than the one we saw in February, I think that’s why it’s not hitting me as hard as I expected.

Why are they showing the Scheyers like they’re the royal family. I don’t remember ever seeing a coach’s family so much in a game.

The best part about this game was we ran mover blocker and kihei played poorly so we can relitigate Reece v kihei for the next week

In the tourney I think we’ve gotta run some more set plays for IMac. He seems to be out of his shooting slump and we need someone to be a significant threat from deep.

Seriously, we’ve failed to break 40% in 4/8 games. Only barely got over 40 in the first Clemson game. That’s unacceptable. Only 44 in the first Louisville game too. I think that we should talk more about this shooting slump being unprecedented.
Not the ACC tournament of course, but the Bennett’s were all over TV during our title run

Kihei shooting <30% behind the arc in the last 12 games. Haven’t checked Reece but can’t be much better.

Our looks weren’t nearly as good this game. Part of that is Duke’s length, part of it is an inability to adjust to Duke’s defensive scheme (overhelp on all screens).
Either way, this isn’t a “we just need to hit shots” game.

Umm.. Roach is a junior in college. And I wasn’t making an argument we were a better team. I think we can be. I just want him to join Keels who is probably one of the first one and dones playing G League basketball.
Scoring 17 pts in a half is unacceptable.

Absolutely, good overall performance this week, but the poor shooting caught up to us. IMac probably needs to hunt more going forward because he is the most consistent 3 pt shooting threat on the team.

There were a lot of what if moments but Kihei missing the wide open transition 3 was a big one.

We got Lively into very early foul trouble at JPJ and it helped us a ton when driving into the paint. Whenever Young was in the game Kihei would go right at him and got some easy buckets. Unfortunately tonight we got stuck with Lively and Filipowski both at three fouls, I think if we attacked them more aggressively rather than looking for a dump off to our bigs or passing the ball back out to the perimeter it would’ve opened things up for us.
