He heard me yell shoot it. Needed that Dragon boost
I think his biggest issue is lack of aggressiveness offensively. He has shot 10 free throws in 539 minutes. None in all of January. Four in all of December.
That to me is a lack of aggression and a lack of confidence. When he gets more aggressive, gets to the line, and scores a few points, his confidence will improve. It’s going to happen. Get to the line and see the ball go in. Bet it happens tomorrow….
Shall we give Rohde your number → CALL-HAV-ASAP?
I like this. O/U Rohde free throw attempts tomorrow is set at 0.5
I know @BDragon will bet it.
Rewatch of the first 4 minutes of State game when Rohde got subbed quick. I could make a case there for the Roy Williams sub all 5 at once. We started off baaaaad all around
Okay I’ll bite and take the under.
Also has Rohde gotten a paint touch in the last 3 months? Legit question.

I was yelling, too. At the TV. I don’t think he heard me.
He could feel the vibes.
I agree with this. To reiterate what was stated (paraphrased) was - “What if we were told that Rohde was coming in to be a facilitator and backup point guard and Reece would be the scoring 2 guard” what would our expectations have been then?
Well partially it would have been- “Oh no not another Kihei (although I loved him), but when will Reece get a chance to run this team himself?”
On the other hand we would say- “Okay he gets us 4-5 assists a night, plays good defense, and doesn’t really turn the ball over, I’m good with it”.
So now I’ve begun to change my view and that is what I expect from him, going forward this year.
Sure, except if he’s the “backup point guard” then Reece isn’t the 2, he’s still the “point guard” otherwise who is Rohde backing up? Its great he doesn’t turn the ball over and plays pretty good defense, but he’s tied with Dante for 8th on the team in rebounds/game (the only players who average fewer rebounds/game than Rohde are Eli, Taine, and the walk-ons, and Rohde averages more minutes/game than the 4 of them combined) and brings virtually no offense besides what he creates for others. And he does create offense for others, 2.9 assists/game is his best stat.
He’s solid at “doing no harm”, and I agree he brings more value than the stats say. But that’s a low bar, because he is not bringing much to the table statistically for the minutes he’s playing. He’s creating for others at a solid clip for someone who is there for other stuff, he’s not creating well for someone who’s primary job is creating for others.
The team isn’t good enough to have someone who’s doing no harm and making everyone a little better. That may not be enough to get them into the NCAA tournament, and while I wouldn’t advocate sitting him entirely, its probably worth rolling the dice a little and sharing his minutes a bit more.
Yes. 1-800-NO-CLUE. Just want him to be aggressive because I think he can. He will bust out soon. Get to line to get it started. Let’s go AR!
Personally think he should come off bench and play with ball in his hands. Open up the offense a bit, 4 out high ball screens and see if he can create.
Unless coaches don’t think he is strong enough with the ball to be a primary.
Rohde is very similar to redshirt sophomore (so third year in the system) Devon Hall. Of course Rohde has a higher ppg on 10 more mpg, and Devon Hall has him beat with 33% from 3 while Rohde has the 3 assists to 1 turnover ratio a game.
Still has two seasons and 11 acc games to grow as a player (personal development) and develop familiarity with his teammates and the schemes.
I said the same thing over in the other thread debate. Good call

Tin Tin

This just made my day
Who or what is MaxisNice?
Young dude in Cali who’s claim to fame is making videos where he makes (generally) funny videos imitating NBA players games. Can YouTube it, some are actually pretty entertaining
I double-taked at that one lyric in the song haha
