šŸ—ŗ Best & Worst Cities

All the things you said are true, but I hate the traffic and the people are pretty pretentious. Reminds me of a humid L.A.

At least it has culture/character though.

I’m good with DC as long as I don’t have to go outside the beltway.

All I want to do is eat, so I like Charleston. Denver is cool too.

We lived in Charleston 4 years and loved it. I’d move back tomorrow if it were closer to our kids.

DC sucks if you’ve only ever visited. Otherwise it’s awesome. Great neighborhoods, interesting food scene. Tons of green space. Bikeable.

But yeah, if you hang out on the Mall and lean into the tropes, it does suck.

Charleston, WV…popular choice

Actually surprised there are people that like NYC. All my friends that live there hate it but are stuck for career or family reasons. Don’t think it is possible to be an at peace human being and live or work 40+ hours a week in Manhattan. Similar feelings about Houston but it’s worse because of the unbearable heat

DC crime rate up 40%, car theft 91%, homicide 36%, since this time last year … I’ll pass

Certainly understand that New York isn’t for everyone. But I can assure you that there are millions who work and/or live there who love it and are perfectly at peace with themselves. And who are glad that the people who don’t like New York are living elsewhere.

Now, before we stray dangerously close to a political discussion, which will force me to mute half of y’all, can we get back to basketball?

Im sure those living in NYC love the backbreaking property and State income tax. Its why so many have started relocating. NYC is too expensive for me to thrive in. It is however an iconic city and offers some great history (Ellis Island etc).

Thats why they should all live in Jersey City. No noise. More space. Most racially diverse city in the USA and… Elijah Gertrude grew up here!

Dude, if you don’t like New York, don’t live here. Why does it bother you so much that other people feel differently?

I lived a number of years in Jersey City Heights, and later in Union City. I played pickup on Jersey City courts. Real long time ago – I remember playing against Mike O’Koren. Also some guys from the ABA. The courts weren’t great, but the games were awesome.

But how else will i passively impose my agenda on you?

Wow. The Heights I sorta know. My guess is it hasnt changed much over the years as opposed to the water front etc in JC

The Heights wasn’t much. There was one park – Pershing Field – that had decent games. Had to go downtown for the good stuff. Also found some good runs in Hoboken. Haven’t been back in years. My kids are pitchers, so all I know now in Hudson County are the baseball fields.

Similar for me since my oldest sons are all soccer. I know all the soccer fields and mostly Caven Point which is baseball as well

They say Lincoln Park had legendary hoop pick up back in the day

One thing I know, nyc point guards got that dawg in them.

ATL point guards are just full of funny stories.

Preemptive edit: brogdon was not a point guard.
