They think they’re ours. Little brother who tasted success one year, and now an unbearable fanbase. Just like VPI after 1999.
Not sure I agree. I live a mile from VCU (have for 2 years), and go to more of their home games than UVa, and I don’t think I’ve heard a VCU fan reference UVa once. Maybe it was different when we were elite, but don’t see that recently.
I have a headache from trying to keep up with all this shit especially after every game went against us yesterday. Have we got a chance to get in?
Trying
I’d say 25%
Yeah, hard to forget. Amazing that people get so excited about some dumbass fan making a prediction. That’s one reason why I haven’t been on the board much down the stretch when the team was stumbling. I felt my presence antagonized some folks.
I do think our chances are better than 35% today, but not 100%. Fingers crossed. Do I think we deserve the tournament, not really. However, we’re more deserving than some of the teams that have been predicted to get in the tournament.
If you get in, anyone that says crap about it you tell them to eff off!!! And you go forward and see if your team can do any damage. I do think this team is capable of making a run as far as the Sweet 16 if the threes are falling at a decent rate.
Having 10-seeds in Dayton would be unprecedented.
11 is where the money usually is, but there have been at-large last four at 12, 13, and 14, too — 12 most recently in 2022.
2011 — 2 11; 2 12
2012 — 2 12; 2 14
2013 — 2 11; 2 13
2014 — 2 11; 2 12
2015 — 4 11
2016 — 4 11
2017 — 4 11
2018 — 4 11
2019 — 4 11
2021 — 4 11
2022 — 2 11; 2 12
2023 — 4 11
I believe that is being generous. Im not expecting a bid
They were awful between 2011 and 2018 — always with the “best program in the state”nonsense, even if it was true for two or three of those years. They hate UVa, too, esp on Twitter.
They’re Richmond Hokies.
Although i will subject myself to the misery of watching the selections
And free throws!
FAU smdh
+500 devigged or 1 in 6 chance. I’ll take it. Thought it was 1 in 10.
Everyone, pull out a die and roll it. Did you get a 6? We’re in then. Otherwise we’re out.
73 brackets today on BM:
---------last four byes--------
TCU 73/73
Michigan St 73/73
Northwestern 71/73
Mississippi St 70/73
---------Dayton--------
FAU 69/73
Colorado 68/73
Texas A&M 59/73
Oklahoma 58/73
---------out----------
St. John’s 30/73
UVA 6/73
Seton Hall 3/73
Indiana St 2/73
Providence 1/73
Pitt 1/73
Is momentum a thing? Oklahoma has been falling steadily for the last few days and is now last in.
I said at 22 brackets I was dissapointed we weren’t clearly ahead of Seton Hall and Indiana St as 2nd out. Now we are.
Most important thing is Vegas has us as 1 in 6 to make the field.
Hope everyone parlayed Temple, Oregon, and NC St yesterday.
According to Vegas, the odds that none of UNC, Colorado, or FAU would win their tourney was 3.3%. The odds were even lower that they would all lose yesterday (maybe 2%) because that 3.3% included the chance of FAU winning yesterday and losing today.
Brown went 1-4 from the FT line in the last 20 seconds and lost on a buzzer beater. Misery loves company, or something.
I hate that +500 feels the same as +10000 at this point. Felt like -200 after the BC win. Felt like -1000 with a minute left to play against NC State
I want to cry and laugh. I’m angry and relieved.
@Mr.E.Recruit how we feeling?
