Amazing imagery. But also some truth. HGN has noted in the past from his view, kids who have the goods just need to want it badly enough. If they got the goods, it isn’t as much a coaching thing as it is a drive thing. (Traudt could have that drive, mostly just saying coaching ain’t the most important variable).

Yes, and this is a pretty egregious oversight-- Taine should have played more his 1st year, particularly after the Iowa game, but should not have played at all his 2nd year and should not play at all this year because he really regressed after his 1st year skill-wise and athletically.

To be fair to us, here, the reason our criticisms of Taine’s PT are totally incoherent is that Tony’s usage of Taine has been totally incoherent.

Like, it will never not be hilarious to me that in Taine’s only extended PT against decent competition, we had him cover one of the (now) best young players in the NBA, despite a universal rep as being a bit lacking on the defensive end.

This but Key instead of Huff. The Ty-Kyle-Dre-Braxton foursome was on track for some of the best lineups in advanced stats history but for some reason we just went away from it midway through ACC play. Until the title game that is

Brutal dig for Villanova. He was a target, he models his game after Jalen Brunson, and they couldn’t land him. Salt in the wound that he shares this with the Virginia sports site.
