Bliss sounds like a UVA / Bennett guy.
He’s one of those guys that looks like he’s a little loose with the ball but actually has great control.
He’s a very interesting prospect.
Well said. One of those high dribble guys but keeps it on a string
You don’t notice it much in those clips, but he needs to work on that off arm, a bit. Every ACC coach will be calling for the offensive foul when he gets that arm out there. He seems like a smart player so I’m sure he’ll find a good balance.
Can Bliss dunk? Looks like he is missing some hops but handle and body control are elite.
Yea he has that nice right handed dunk game on drives
Yea he puts that right arm up pretty high. If he would lower it he would be better off. A little pudh of the hips might be ok but you shove someone in the shoulders it’s going to be called
Based on last season’s officiating, he should put his elbow up face high. People hitting your elbow with their faces is a foul on them.
Some of those crossovers with an arm guard look like Crotty. Especially going left.
Thats a Sheddy foul
Worth noting that this video was from December 2020 (thus the Molloy reference in the video title) and I think his game has refined a bunch since then, based on how he looked this summer.
Just curious - did Bliss play as an older guy vs younger guys in AAU like Power did?
I think I read somewhere that Bliss would naturally be a frosh in this class. Power was more like 2 classes behind. Things got messy with the (mostly) lost year that a lot of kids, especially Northeastern, had in 20-21. Dunn did a prep year - maybe for similar reasons. Power looked better in that intrasquad than I expected. Knocked down a three. Didn’t look out of place. Only cooked once that I saw.
Power is getting second round draft buzz leading into the season. Tall white boys that can shoot are all the rage in the NBA right now.
Not that I think we would have won the Power recruitment anyway but I’m sure having Traudt as a potential blocker at his position didn’t help. Oh the irony.
(To digress even further, no Traudt news out of their secret scrimmage against ISU - this will be an interesting circular argument down the road where we talk about how Traudt actually sucks but still defend staff’s scouting acumen)
Also calling message board BINGO on this comment. Knocked out a few squares to get us down a tangent completely unrelated to the topic.
Uh…that’s an easy one. it was good scouting…because of the staff’s development acumen, which traudt will not benefit from at ohio university-omaha. boom!
I don’t see it with Power. That would surprise me (NBA after this year, or even soon).
Yeah, interesting about Traudt. Decent chance he doesn’t pass Mason Miller and doesn’t play much. We shall see.
That + KAdin shoulder injury + BVP lighting up the Rhine should reignite some 22-23 takes. Lol!
To be fair traudt sucking would less have to do with staff’s scouting and moreso with Traudt’s decision making to choose a program to transfer to that has only produced one legitimate NBA player in the head coach’s entire tenure, that one player being the coach’s son.
Also Reece and Kihei didn’t pair well together, Mike Tobey should have played more vs VCU 2013, Woldo should have played more 2021 and we should have gone to 5 out with reece attacking the rim vs unathletic Ohio much sooner in that game. Also Kody Stattmann should probably not have played even if Igor sucked you know what you have with Kody and there is at least the potential for a high ceiling with Igor… did I miss anything?
