I think they could play backup PG by committee in 2022 in theory like when Brogdon backed up London and would probably fine but what if Beekman gets a season ending injury the 1st game of the season. I loved guys that have played PG from the 1st time they started bouncing a basketball. There is just something about them. Like to have 2 of them on the team. Thought Clark would have been more efficient playing 28/30 minutes a game last year instead of 39.

I never said I was a BK boy and please dont connect any dots. First im not worth it. Second, a few People know who i am but only those I want tu know. Third, ITS NOBODY BUSINESS. LOL

I really think Chase can be a solid backup pg. I don’t think he get enough credit. A fr pg, playing in the ACC on a team with no shooters. Kihei had shooters and experience around him. Chase didnt and his time was sporadic. And he still held his own. Plus he is a great defender and have that Norfolk blood in him. So I truly think if our scholly PG cant play. Chase will do just fine.

Ha, yeah I feel Tu. There’s a kid who went to my HS alma mater who I was disappointed UVa never got in on and ended up w/ another ACC school, but I’m not going to say who it is.

@TUGARD I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of Chase, I thought his year was overlooked by too many.

If Clark play a min over 32 minutes. Yall going tu see some oldschool Tugard post. HA. I hope its 30 minutes. He need the rest and we are tu deep. It will also cause a huge logjam for the other perimeter spot.

I honestly thought the same last year, especially in particular spots during the games.

Yeah, no way we should need him to do that again.

Also, shout out to how good of an athlete Kihei is. You don’t think of it much for short guys without much verticality, but his combination of strength, quickness, and stamina is really impressive. Reminds me of a guy like Pat Beverly

I thought a couple games where he had to sit out a bit because of foul trouble he was excellent at the end of the game. Give me Clark for 28/30 minutes a game and Beekman for the rest. He can always play a little more in the biggest games.

The word around town was always that Chase had better skills than his brother but just never got his height

Well Pat Beverly is 6’3 but I get your point. I was at that Peach Jam chip and I remember saying a few things. One was about his leadership. He had many stars on that team but he made sure things ran right. He got in guys faces and they listened. When he got knocked down. All his teammates ran tu him tu help him up. The next thing I said was. He would be a nice backup tu Ty. I had no clue who he was or if he was committed. But I never expected he would be one of the best pg in the country. I don’t think TB did either by the way. But Kihei is just cold blooded. I love how no stage is tu big for him. But he still shouldn’t play more than 32 minutes. I do think if they take away our OOC games. It will hurt the newcomers minutes because we will start off playing important games and wont have games tu get them acclimated tu college ball.

So did I. But what neighborhood. Park Place, Colonial Park, Tidewater Drive neighbirhoods, Ghent or nether. You know the difference right?

I just never ever heard that being said before and I know Matt and his dad very well. I dont know Chase. By the way because I never heard it doesnt mean you didnt hear it around your town. Do you think Chase is better than Matt? Thanks

I grew up in Larchmont. I didn’t get to watch Chase that much when he was in high school but got to watch Matt before he transferred to Oak Hill. I was never super impressed outside of his vision

Most of the people I talked to were less on the AAU side and more on the high school side

I saw them both play. Matt was considerably better as well as the bigger of the two. Matt liked to play fast but had incredible ball control, especially in traffic. Reminded me of Majestic Mapp’s handle. Chase was very quick but tended to play out of control. Neither of them was a particularly good outside shooter. Matt had enough size to get in the lane and finish pretty well, but Chase was a bit vertically challenged to wander into the trees.
