Fun event at Kindness Cafe today at the YMCA in Charlottesville. For those who don’t know, Kindness was started by former Uva soccer and bball alum Katie Kishore as a mission driven coffee shop that employs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sam Brunelle was at the coffee shop meeting with customers and employees. My kids were pumped to get an autograph.

Moving up her commit date by a month to what was originally going to be her “Top X” date immediately after a UVA official that apparently went well (and the coaches were very enthusiastic about) is about as positive a sign as it gets w/o inside info.

Wow, I need to start paying more attention to this “Mox-Magic” that is going on.
- How is she doing this?
- What am I missing with Coach Mox?
- Is UVA Womens Bball program *that attractive now? If so what has changed?

I imagine it’s an easy sell right now tbh. ‘Look at these world class facilities and strength staff. On top of that you can play 25+ mpg as a freshman’ is a tried and true recruiting pitch.

I’m wondering if there is any NIL involved as well? To be honest on the *Mens side I think we really need to get Mox involved as well ;-)… or I’d settle with continuing to get Kyle Getter involved with the big name recruits. He was able to pull atleast one of the Isaacs I believe?

I think it’s AD wide that we don’t pitch NIL in recruiting. UVA is one of the schools that still follows the unenforced rules lol
Getter was the lead assistant for at least both Isaac’s and BB. Maybe Bond too? Vandross has had a few guys we were involved with this cycle but I think many of them were still Getter finds

Oh that’s great, then maybe Getter should have been recruiting Power…Controversial? Maybe. But hey that is why you have assistant coaches who are able to support you in different ways and sure up any weaknesses.
Anyways don’t want to detract from the Coach Mox thread.

Eh doubt that makes a difference come closing time. That’s all on Tony and J Willy regardless of who identified the kid. Duke is just Duke.
