As someone who doesn’t follow womens bball how big of a get is she
#42 recruit in 2023 according to espn.
Pretty huge for UVA womens bball I think. Of course Sam was like the former #1 recruit before injuries.

Crazy what Coach Mox has pulled off. Any coach in the country would struggle to accumulate this sort of recruiting class this quickly. Especially considering the state of the program she inherited.

Don’t ever underestimate what UVA has to sell.
Obviously the hiring of Coach Mox is paying quick (almost instant) dividends. I’ve known Sam’s family for awhile she initially longed for going away (and who could blame her considering where the program was at the time / she avoided a train wreck) coming home was almost a natural given her current circumstances.
Olivia has an entirely different situation but I think she realizes she can be part of something/ and help the program reach new heights vs. just being another star in an established program.
More good news coming per staff.

Not underestimating it at all. The program was in shambles. Sam was never going to come given where it was Olivia and the rest wouldn’t have either. Coach Mox has done a great job selling a vision leveraging the good capital the program has left and capitalizing on the break of Sam wanting to come home. Suddenly Mox had a talented vet to point to and anchor the ship.

I thought Mo took her official back in early May or so.
Yep. Great recruiter and she now has top of the notch facilities at JPJ and a vet to help bring in the top talent. Can’t wait till the new football center is open.

A lot of work still ahead, but man, can’t believe the set of jumper-cables Coach Mox brought with her from MSU. The presence/energy on social etc. alone is like the rainy season coming for some dormant desert seeds.
