BA wouldn’t even pop into my mind if you asked me the top 5 UVA QBs, which would be: Shawn, Matt Schaub, Majik Man, Aaron Brooks, and Peter Lalich.

Can’t tell if that is sarcasm when it comes to Lalich but I agree with the sentiment of the comment. BA wouldn’t be in my top 5 especially once he is gone and the recency bias is removed. Shawn, Schaub, Brooks, Perkins all stand above him.
Edit from an above post. I credited Perkins VT victory to BA, he didn’t even do that.

Real talk, at least once a season I shed a tear thinking of the game they lost to GT in 98 and what could have been. Legit one of my greatest what if’s.
Aaron Brooks also had the strongest arm of any Virginia QB dude threw darts. First time I saw him at practice I was legit scared at the pop his passes had.

EDIT - on-topic extra thought: I’m not opposed to player movement, though maybe it’s gotten too much in the aggregate, but I also really dislike in-conference transfers. I get it with BA, and that one is less hard to take than guys going to UNC, (and understandable, given the personnel there) but there’s sort of a “read the room” vibe there…

haha love me some Matty Blundin, will never forgive him for coaching Monticello. He was a flat out stud, but I was never on the field with him to see/hear his passes like I was with Aaron.

I walked outta McCue one day and Matty B was on that practice field all the way the other end. I ran into opposite end zone and said “hit me yo!” He one stepped and dropped like an 80 yarder right on me

No doubt dude had a cannon. I guess the distinction between him and Brooks is Aaron had 0 arc on his passes. They were froze ropes. Look like a pitcher instead of a qb.
