College Football Transfer Tracking/Recruiting

He’s still around, right? Just looked at his twitter, and looks like it. Stinks to have this be the second year in a row where the line is once again a significant rebuild (I think, right?)

I haven’t seen anything about him leaving, but he’s from far away and might be a 2J/Bronco guy, so if he doesn’t see an opening for PT, not sure what his plan is.

OL transfer from Houston. Former 3 star, should have 3 years of eligibility left.

Also if anyone was unsure, we still don’t have an O-Line coach lol. Or at least it hasn’t been announced publicly.

I saw elsewhere Terry Heffernan, former OL coach at Stanford. Looks like a ton of media people are following him from the UVa side. Kinda seems like he may be the guy.

2 years at Stanford where criticism was that the linemen had lost the physicality that helped them win in the Harbaugh and early Shaw years, before that bounced between NFL assistant line coach with the Bills and Lions and line coach at DII and DI FCS levels. Well, I hope he can teach up guys because our coach recruiting results seem to be on level with our player recruiting results.

I had the same thought “Hasn’t the knock on Stanford been their Oline has fallen off?” Didn’t realize that was the guy responsible for it. Now I will say I do know part of that drop off has been some academic issues and ability to get guys in… but still

I will say this about the Stanford OL though: they had an OL coach.

Hagans off to Penn State. Not great

That’s too bad. But I can imagine him being ready for a fresh start after what happened.

Probably the right move for everyone. Hagans is ready to branch out and start his own development. Was always going to be a difficult fit on someone else’s staff. And while I love Hagans because of what he did on the field and the fact that he’s a Hoo, I don’t have him tagged as the next great coaching prospect.

Gonna be pretty hard to stomach whatever guy we get from VMI or the Citadel to replace Hagans.

What is our over under for wins next year?

Same as every year 4.5

Full disclosure- I have no clue what the schedule or the personnel is, far too early for me to worry about that, but 4.5 feels like a safe number.

EDIT: Just looked at the schedule and yes 4.5 should absolutely be the number and I’ll take the Over just for the sweat, if it jumps to 5.5 or 6 give me the under.

Actually think he’s as good of a coaching prospect as you’ll see across the country. Not that many guys as young as him are full time P5 coaches at all, let alone have the track record Biscuit has. That’s why he needs to get out of the UVA bubble and see how high he can really climb the coaching ranks

I do think getting out of the UVa coaching tree will be good for him.
