I went to the practice yesterday with Virginia Basketball Club, and I was very impressed with Ugo. His warmup was almost completely taking 3s, and he looked very comfortable/smooth doing it (and made a decent amount). Helluva an athlete - I don’t know if it will translate to games, but I can see where Coach is coming from when he’s talking up his capabilities.

They’re big, and they play fast. And everyone looked like they could shoot. De Ridder is carved from granite.

I know teams are generally bigger in the portal era given older transfers but it feels like our frontcourt is especially large. Hopefully we will be able to overwhelm some teams with our size. Especially from a bulk standpoint as basically our entire frontcourt is 240 lbs+.
Vandy is actually pretty similar (they have a guy who is 6’9 307) so interested to see how we hold up.
