UT gotta drop 60 to have a shot at the CFP
I just canât see Texas getting in unless they get help. Even though they are better than FSU, jumping an undefeated Power 5 champ seems way too controversial for the committee. I think the committee would love to have exactly four undefeated teams from the Power 5.
I agree, I dont think it will work, ultimately I think the committee really wants an FSU loss and then they can potentially slide Bama in at the 4th spot depending on what they do.
Bama or Texas, agreed. I think their nightmare is FSU squeaking out a win by 3 while Bama wins and UT rolls.
I agree. Honestly FSU winning screws with everything.
Biggest drawback of switching from cable to Hulu is the ability to quickly flip between channels. Trying to watch the SmU and the Bama game.
Back in the day i jisthaf 2 tvs in my living room but my wife frowned on that when we met many moons ago
If Alabama, FSU, and Michigan all win, whoâs the top 4?
Thatâs the nightmare scenario for the committee. Think Texas has to be ahead of Alabama due to winning at Bama. Alabama has to be ahead of Georgia. Unless FSU gets jumped, then SEC is shutout which seems unfathomable. Iâm not sure what theyâd do.
oh right I forgot Texas beat Bama early in the year. It would make for a weak playoff without an SEC team for sure.
Yeah but it would really piss off Greg Sankey, and I think that alone makes it worth it.
100% FSU gets dumped unless they just annihilate Louisville.
To steal a basketball term. FSU is first 1 out short of dropping 50 tonight
Who i have in
sec champ
Michigan assuming a win
Washington
Sec runner up.
I donât agree with that but think thats how it plays out
No way runner up gets in if itâs Bama. Gets real iffy if itâs UGA
The above is assuming Bama wins
The committee would have a real hard time justifying Bama over Texas. Not saying they wouldnât do it, but that would be quite the decision.
Agreed like I said I donât like it but would not be surprised at all
If Michigan and fsu win tonight (assuming Bama holds on) it almost has to be Michigan Washington FSU Texas in that order. Iâm not sure I remember a scenario where head to head result didnât matter, and the OSU team that lost both QBs to injury wasnât penalized the first year of playoff. Committee has a precedent for full body of work being considered.
Great call on that OSU team
In that scenario I think it comes down to how FSU looks in victory. And how they weigh strength of schedule
Strength of schedule I think just has to be taken with a grain of salt. You canât tell teams schedule better and also penalize FSU because LSU didnât live up to its top 5 billing.
I think as long as FSU wins theyâre in. I know it goes to 12 next year but man it would be a bad look for an undefeated P5 champ to be snubbed.
