12 is going to be great because there won’t be as many arguments over who is deserving and it should sort itself out to where the best teams advance anyway
Totally 12 gives us the best of all worlds. No more silly arguments (although I like them) and you open the door for a few randos to jump in the mix and get some shine.
The major thing with that OSU team is they beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the conference championship game with the 3rd string QB. If FSU repeats that tonight then they’ll be in.
You can’t leave out a 13-0 FSU who beat 2 SEC teams on the road/neutral. The results on the field have to matter. What grounds would they have for being punished? They didn’t win by enough? Even though Alabama beat Auburn on a miracle 4th down play at the end of the game? Or you’d punish FSU for almost losing and reward Alabama/Texas for actually losing?
No way Georgia gets in with their weak ass schedule. They might be behind Ohio State.
Gotta go SMU or else you’re rewarding LU for beating UMass, ODU and Bowling Green at home and penalizing SMU for going on the road against TCU and Oklahoma.
I think Alabama is automatically in the playoffs if they win the SEC and lose fewer than 4 games, so the Committee has no choice. Why? Because Bama increases tv ratings and It Just Means More.
That leaves UGA, Texas, or FSU (if they win) for the final slot. Anybody wanna guess who’s the odd man out when TV executives are in charge? Sorry Noles.
If they had any damn sense the 4 would be bama uga coach prime and pick any random sec team that’s almost definitely better than Michigan or Washington.
If money and ratings was the 100% motivator Coach Prime would be the involved for sure.
The thing is with Bama Michigan Uga Texas in the mix any combo of those they are fine for eyes on screens and butts in seats so they can afford a Washington or FSU. And FSU does hold their own as far as viewership and name recognition
I’ve got FSU in over Bama if they win tonight. Score doesn’t matter to me just win and in. If we’re trying to force a debate I think it should be which of Texas, Alabama or potentially Georgia gets the last spot behind Michigan Washington FSU.
