Dragon's College Football Picks Conference Championship Week

I agree all around with your logic and I’ll be the first the raise hell if an undefeated FSU gets snubbed.

I just don’t trust the committee to do the right thing. I think they’ve gotten better but I don’t trust it.

HOT TAKE: this is also why I love the current system

12 is going to be great because there won’t be as many arguments over who is deserving and it should sort itself out to where the best teams advance anyway

Totally 12 gives us the best of all worlds. No more silly arguments (although I like them) and you open the door for a few randos to jump in the mix and get some shine.

Also sweet redemption after last night Bama +5 and under 54

The major thing with that OSU team is they beat Wisconsin 59-0 in the conference championship game with the 3rd string QB. If FSU repeats that tonight then they’ll be in.

True but that team also had a mid loss to begin with…. Undefeated P5 champ gets in

You can’t leave out a 13-0 FSU who beat 2 SEC teams on the road/neutral. The results on the field have to matter. What grounds would they have for being punished? They didn’t win by enough? Even though Alabama beat Auburn on a miracle 4th down play at the end of the game? Or you’d punish FSU for almost losing and reward Alabama/Texas for actually losing?

No way Georgia gets in with their weak ass schedule. They might be behind Ohio State.

Liberty or SMU for the G5 spot?

Gotta go SMU or else you’re rewarding LU for beating UMass, ODU and Bowling Green at home and penalizing SMU for going on the road against TCU and Oklahoma.

Yea SMU played and won with a far better schedule only losses came against P5 and dominated everyone else

Just heard Brohms pregame speach… that was not inspiring

I think Alabama is automatically in the playoffs if they win the SEC and lose fewer than 4 games, so the Committee has no choice. Why? Because Bama increases tv ratings and It Just Means More.

That leaves UGA, Texas, or FSU (if they win) for the final slot. Anybody wanna guess who’s the odd man out when TV executives are in charge? Sorry Noles.

If the committee does what’s right
Michigan assuming a win
Wash
Tex
Bama

I believe @JBHoo threw those names out and I think that makes sense. Not sure the committee agrees

If they had any damn sense the 4 would be bama uga coach prime and pick any random sec team that’s almost definitely better than Michigan or Washington.

If money and ratings was the 100% motivator Coach Prime would be the involved for sure.

The thing is with Bama Michigan Uga Texas in the mix any combo of those they are fine for eyes on screens and butts in seats so they can afford a Washington or FSU. And FSU does hold their own as far as viewership and name recognition

I’ve got FSU in over Bama if they win tonight. Score doesn’t matter to me just win and in. If we’re trying to force a debate I think it should be which of Texas, Alabama or potentially Georgia gets the last spot behind Michigan Washington FSU.

FSU’s true freshman QB was the #30 QB on the 247 composite. Ours was #72.

If we really wanna get nuts let Iowa win 3-0

I hear ya. Just heard a good point bama beat 3 top 25 teams if FSU wins they beat 2.

Not fair to FSU they didn’t get to play better comp… but someone had to take the L.

Also @JBHoo I loke your style. We’re going out when I come up for the Carolina game

I think that stats off, FSU already beat #13 LSU, #23 Clemson and would then beat #14 Louisville tonight.

And yeah sounds good hopefully @jazznutUVA could join us for a lager as well :joy:
