Elijah seems like a good dude.
He really is. Everyone who meets him in CVille comes away very impressed.
I just wanna see him play again
It seems Miami might be a good matchup to get him some more playing time.
So was Louisville when we were up 30 in the first half hahah
Every game is a good match up for EG…
Quite a stat line for Eli in 3:41
1 block
2 rebounds
1 foul
1 crazy athletic dunk / layup
I missed shot.
Hope he gets more and more time. He is just electric.
Go Hoos. Play free and with JOY. Have fun. Beat FSU.
Block and steal on a midrange shot. Thats crazy hard to complete
“Block” doesn’t really describe the play. He basically took the ball out of the guy’s hands.
And he stayed down without biting on the pump fakes. Then went up when his guy went up and blocked / stole the ball. Thing of beauty.
I have no hate for Rohde, but no one can convince me that Rohde is better than Eli.
I understand Tony doesn’t agree. But Eli is a better defender, better rebounder, quicker and more aggressive on O.
His passing not as good nor his dribbling.
Just don’t see the risk in giving Eli more minutes, even in tighter games.
Go Hoos.
Also appreciated Reece giving Eli props to espn reporter after the game. Made me smile. I just love Reece.
Go Hoos. Play free and with JOY. Have fun. Beat FSU
rHode got 16 minutes tonight and Eli got 4 minutes. Go back and look at the stat line for tonight. Eli’s more impressive…
If Tony is watching the tape closely he will see Eli had a very good 3:41. He just brings more to the table.
Their player was pressuring Eli up top so Eli said “c ya later” and drove by him like the dude was standing still. We don’t have too many guys who can do that. Reece and maybe Dante.
Play the man. Go Hoos.
Wow. Tough crowd. Love that we, as a group, are well-informed, passionate, smart fans of basketball. Not only do we have to beat the living shit out of our opponents, we have to do it with the statistically correct distribution of minutes. That is next-level fandom.

Guess who was sportcenters #2 play this morning?!
He’ll also see that Miami pulled all its starters at the U-4 timeout.
Problem for Gertrude and Bond is that they come in firing up shots early in a shot clock, and we know from 15 years of Tony Bennett, that he doesn’t like that.
But I agree with you that Gertrude’s upside outweighs Rohde’s and Bennett should find time for Gertrude to sneak in a minute or two when we need a spark/lift.
I was thinking about CTB’s take on end of game play with blow outs. He is still watching closely and Minor’s play in garbage time at NCSU got him minutes in the next game and he went from there. I felt that Bond certainly didn’t help himself last night but I still liked what I saw from him on the glass.
Up 20 in the last 4, when your coach finally puts you in, why would you not fire up shots?
