Hey @DFresh11, do you know if he scrimmaged with the guys on the visit? Do visitors actually play with the team in recruiting situations?

If so, I wonder what the others think of his game etc.?

Am pretty sure it is still a violation to play with current players or train with coaches on visits. Jay said that a manager or whoever can work them out though but I dont think coaches or players are allowed to be involved/ watch

Okay that makes sense…and honestly if I were the recruit I would just want to enjoy the scenery, visit, food etc. Why get extra sweaty?

hahahaha. yea but you know how that goes. everyone wants to go visit and play. I did on a couple of my visits. I dont think Nebraska and Texas AnM cared about many rules back then

One of the best parts of your Audio Interview yesterday was when you sent your kids to ask Jah’ about where he was going to school and he gave a “Go Hoos” response. I find that hilarious because that’s one of the main purposes of having kids, is to do the dirty work for you  It may have been odd having a grown adult go up and directly ask him, but you can’t deny the kids…

In the same way that your parents/grand parents wait for you to come over and have you do some chore for them that they put off for a few weeks until you arrive :joy:

Haha is exactly right. When he came over and full dap and hug and huge smile I knew it was Family. Also knew it was tough to deny cute 7 year olds!

Does he remind anyone else of M. Farrakhan, but a little further along at the same stage?

is this available in a non twitter format?

Yup… he would have been all ACC under Bennett!

Believe he played for TB for a year, but would have liked to see him develop for all 4.

He really improved that year, that’s what I’m basing it on. 4 years with TB would have done wonders for his game.

Not to derail the thread, but just given MF’s family dynamic, I figured he would transfer when TB was named coach.

Actually heard MF’s grandfather speak about his time at UVa and how TB gave Mu a chance, he excelled, and made him team captain. If TB can make a believer out of grandpa of all people, we should be able to get any recruit he wants

I sure hope like hell that’s not how Eli is used consistently, that would not maximize what he does well in an efficient manner. Let’s open the offense up a bit to get more out of this kid, than just standing around the perimeter as the shot clock winds down.

I don’t think anyone wants EG to be a passive lurker until the shot clock winds down. I think the point was he can beat his cover, so we may get fewer late-clock desperation shots from deep. More aggressive moves to the rim. More drawn fouls. The last couple years have been hard with few guards/wings who can make something happen as time ticks down.

Not weird - I was size 10 1/2 at 13 so thought I would be taller … ended at size 11 1/2 and am only 6-3

The main reason we won in 2019 … had Ty and Dre to do just that - and both were super comfy in late clock sitches.
