Fall Recruiting Action

Yeah the question is, if he commits would we *still take Bobi as well? I mean 3 SG’s, SF’s all ranging from 6’7-6’9 looks awesome in my minds eye…but I also still want a Mama-D type of player who would be happy in a support role to start.

Nah. as @HoozGotNext said they want to intentionally keep it at 10-11 on roster. Both to develop team chemistry/everyone happy and also create attractive opportunities for Hauser/Murphy/Gill/Braxton level transfers.

That being said if Julian Phillips somehow wants in, a Reece Taine Phillips Igor Kadin lineup (Armaan and Jayden gone after an acc championship and sweet 16) with a McKneely, Dunn, Traudt bench and Bond redshirt would be dope

I’m happy either way, *but a bird in the hand…

I’m happy either way, *but a bird in the hand… I actually wish that Dunn had come down *last weekend with the rest of the group? I wonder why he didn’t? TB strategy?

I would love for it to be UVA, but I’m going to be excited to follow Sheppard’s career regardless of college. He is so skilled and fun to watch. And if it’s Louisville, it’ll be a blast watching Mr. Bond blanket him twice a year

Oddly enough, the sentiments on the Kentucky board are mixed about Reed Sheppard. Some feel he wouldn’t want to go anywhere other than UK. Others aren’t yet convinced he’s the type of player Kentucky should be recruiting, although the number of those is diminishing from early summer. Lastly, there are a significant number that feel he would be a better fit at Virginia than at Kentucky, and that UVa is the real competition for his services. This will be an interesting recruitment.

I’m shocked he’s even hearing them out after those Mack/Gaudio transcripts dropped. No way that family lets Reed play for Mack now.

Someone we watched over the summer but went for Dunn instead for that sg/sf combo.

Lol at Hunter in the comments (same aau program)

(photo is from the Minnesota board. they say they are going to go after Skillings only if Ryan Dunn says no to them)

Imagine this is Williford staying in Florida. Also another DC kid (all the DC kids go to Florida now for high school lol).

I think part of this upcoming recruiting cycle is coming to acceptance that we are probably not going to recruit the Gus Bus. Doesn’t fit what we want or are recruiting to. RIP #theGusBusunloadsinCville

Sigh…he was gonna make a ton of White Spot NIL money.

That said, he does just kind of feel like a Nebraska or Wisconsin type. Might fit right in with their O-lines.

Maybe Iowa as their big replacement for Luka Garza.

A question for @HoozGotNext or anyone with an answer: Reportedly, Coach Bennett was at Oak Hill Academy today to visit multiple 2023 prospects. This weekend, it has been said that Ryan Dunn will be on an OV to UVa. I was under the impression that Coach Bennett was going to Sunrise Christian’s open gym to see Bobi Klintman… Is he going to squeeze that visit in tomorrow between these other two occasions? Or, has the trip to Kansas been cancelled? Or, is it to be done later if Dunn doesn’t commit this weekend? I have so many questions and so few clues! I am clueless!

Dont think Tony was ever scheduled to see Bobi. Williford might stop by an open gym and if Bobi blows him away they’ll probably try to get Tony out there.
