Florida State at UVA thread

It’s weird that neither CTB nor Gardner have confirmed the obvious: that he’s coming back for a bonus year.

That’s a strange elephant in the room. But i think it’s the product of small town small school small media.

Simply don’t have enough voices in the room to create that sort of space.

I guess there’s the ever present “guard the inbounder or no?” Question. Maybe Shed is better as a free safety there? Could be. It’s such a rare play, though…

I’ve always believe you guard the inbounder. Could Shed have done more maybe? But i always think of the Duke Uk game. No one was on Hill and he had an open passing lane. The pasd is arguably more difficult than the shot.

Which makes Kiheis play agaisnt Purdue the all time greatest. (Aghh got a Kihei reference into the convo. Told Y’all I’m dope at thos troll game)

He forced the meteorologist to make a perfect pass

A 6th yr meteorologist TA on the court could not be the most FSU thing ever.

UVa would trick you with “guts”. Me Hav and Big Red took Theatre Tech with the great Paul Ering Its all fun n games until you gotta learn to tie an Slip Knot

Sidenote: Ering had just won the gold medal in the 800 maybe and they gave him a brand new Nissan Maxima. Fly as hell. He used to give us rides home but we would never let him drive. He was awful awful. Dude basically had the nicest car on Grounds but no clue how to operate it

Colin Ducharme had it right - go right to Astrophysics. I honestly had issues with classes that should’ve been guts. I had an anthro class that kicked my butt. Then I took Prof Kett’s intellectual history class pass/fail with a bunch of brainiacs and aced the midterm. Then I handed in a paper with no effort, and he basically reacted the same way LRA does when someone says Kihei isn’t ACC caliber. :joy:

Then I had to pull an all nighter to study for the final, because I had the final the same day as the final in that undergrad con law class.

Wait, what was my point?

Back to the game: it will be forgotten because it pushed us the wrong way off the bubble, and we lost, and neither team is top 25, but the ending of that game was epic. Would’ve been an all-timer in the tourney.

I may be the only person in UVa history who got lower than a B in Prof. Bice’s psychology class.

I took another psych course that was filled with football and basketball players (including Ralph), and wound up having to drop it. Not because it was too difficult, but because it was an evening class, and I just didn’t show up enough.

But, yeah, back to the game: The last shot didn’t beat us. Everything that happened in the three minutes before that shot beat us. We were playing well, and then we regressed to the team we had in November.

My thoughts:

  1. Shedrick jumped too early making the pass not as difficult, though still difficult. I mean he is still 6’11”.

  2. The more I think of it, in that situation I think it is important to contest the catch. Obviously without fouling. The shot is going to be difficult either way, but if you can get a finger on the ball or get him to take his eyes off the ball just a little bit that can make a huge difference.

  3. To help with that, put the other 4 guys all in the front court. Let them inbound around a 6’11” guy to someone in the back court and make a 3/4 court shot. This way you can contest the catch and the shot of someone in the front court with 2 different people.

Just wondering does that site take into account who is shooting? And from where?
Like does it count a Franklin open three as a quality shot? Because that is a quality shot for the opponent defending him.

I believe it takes into account personnel yes
