Insane if they push out Mack Brown only to hire someone who is only one year younger than him. Even if itās a legend of the sport.

I hope they take Belichik. He might be a good college coach but I could see him being fed up and gone in 3 years.
I do not want to wrestle with Campbell for the next 5 yrs. Thatās an added energy we donāt want to contend with

Idk if itās just me but BB after firing Mack seems weird. However I wish we had gone after himā¦
I donāt think thereās a bigger signal saying āweāre actually committed to football being somethingā UVA couldāve sent than bringing on the greatest coach of all time. I think Scott wouldāve been packed.

Bill Belichickās dad was on the Navy staff under George Welsh. Nick Saban joined the staff the year after George came to Virginia. Steve Belichick came to Navy after 2 years at UNC.

I coached a guy who played for Belichick up in NE and each year at the start of the season he handed out a bible/handbook that literally spelled out the Patriots way. Even down to a glossary of terms, names of staff roles assignments etc. Players could be quizzed on it at any time and were expected to know it inside out by the end of the first week of training camp.
We adopted parts of it and used it as our own during later seasons.
