I’m still down on this staff but they’re at least out there showing urgency and making moves. Very excited to see what we can do with a legit QB. Still have work to do but next years schedule is far more manageable, and it’s sink or swim time. Even if we suck again I’m at least enjoying a transfer window for once. It’s a nice distraction from hoops haha

I’m glad that we made a substantial offer to a proven performer Virginia kid. But I’m not sure that a RB is where we should invest a good chunk of our budget.

I know it’s not apples to apples, but look at where NFL teams spend their cap. QB, Edge, OL, WR, DT, CB are the top priorities.

There’s probably like 100 RBs out there who would look good or at least competent behind a good o-line. There’s maybe like 10 who would look good even behind a bad o-line, and we can’t afford them. (Numbers made up obviously to illustrate the point)

So yeah, I’d invest in the line and other pieces first and then bring in a couple of lower level backs with potential and see who shakes out. But I would not throw big money at RBs myself. Especially early in the process.
