Kind of interesting how OTE is morphing into a prep school. Also, I was thinking the Ignite model might be hurting this year, but there are a lot of Ignite guys showing up early on mocks. I even see good ol funny story on one of them (fortunately, only one).

OTE definitely trying for a straddle strategy, where they maintain both a college and pro pathway. In my opinion, Ignite is probably a better setup for those wanting to skip college, since you play better competition, but OTE does make sense as an alternative to other basketball academies like IMG, Oak Hill, etc.

Just realized Bryson Tiller (who I forgot we offered randomly) is there at the OTE event lol. UNC board also mentioned he’s a 2024 reclass candidate. Only shot we have there is if Dunn goes pro and lottery and we pitch “Yo Reclass and fill Dunn’s spot for 1 year and go lottery like he did”

Doesnt show up in the chopped tweet but a younger wilkins sibling/cousin is in OTE (2027). I vaguely remember seeing a tweet like that. Maybe Tony was there to chat up Dominique Wilkins in the stands about Jacob lol

In my graduate school days, went to a john Denver concert a the Roanoke Civic Center. Johns advance team had done a poor job of preparing him to visit Western Virginia not West Virginia. He had several clearly prepare remarks about visiting West Virginia. They resulted in a muttered roar which grew louder each time he restated his geography error.
As i left, i overheard several Hokies who were unhappy with his lack of geographical knowledge.
